You can play MP for free, and no LAN in this game Sad

er you're right, there's an optional "Elite" subscription. BUt apparrently this subscription will give you access to more items/quests and have access to different modes. Seems like free will give you less of a game.

No... you don't get less of a game you get the game you paid for. you get to play everything right out of the box for free. if you want more, you have to pay.

Details of first subscriber content in the form of a special event:

"Run Date

November 5 – November 11

Nemo ~ Master of Festivities

He has moved to his permanent home inside Templar Base with several surprises for adventurous souls.

Guy Fawkes Quests

There are bigger demons out there, and perhaps they’re being drawn to the flames that erupt on Bonfire night. Track down a series of named monstrosities and explore new areas as you seek to keep these horrors at bay.

Bonfire Nightmares

Parts of the city have been made even more fiery than usual by the culmination of increased demonic activity and the explosive nature of the times. Keep an eye out for these rare locations.

Grenades

What would this celebration be without explosions? Lots of explosions… so many, in fact, that everyone gets in on the fun of hurling the Marksman’s staple – Grenades. Now, imagine what else you could do with them…

Guy Fawkes Recipes

Making things is a big part of the remembrance of Guy Fawkes for the survivors in London. The ingenuity of Guy Fawkes is represented in the numerous recipes and schematics that crop up during this time.

Guy Fawkes Treats

BonfireToffee, Toffee Apples, Baked Potatoes – all of the expected foodstuffs (and more) to keep winter’s chill at bay and bolster characters with a wide variety of beneficial boosts.

Fawkes’ Flameguards

Handling explosives can be tricky, so you’ll want to make sure to find the right pair of gloves to keep your hands safe and sound.

The Legacy of Guy Fawkes

The techsmiths have been busier than usual, so you’ll never know when gear might drop that has a thematic tie to the celebration.

Thanks everyone, and hope you've been enjoying the game! "

Sounds fun to me!

That gem I believe serves no purpose, like the one in D2 in the lobby. In the middle was that gem that would change color when clicked on, people thought it gave them 33209826068 experience but all it was used for was a place holder to remember a specific line of chat.

I dunno

It is something like "/join chat-1" but that doesn't seem to work and i can't find where i saw it on the forums...

uhh, where should I go to learn about some of the features in this game? I've figured out how to get tech parts and rare components (at the cost of being able to sell the phat lewtz) and I understand how to use them in building new weapons at the one shop, but should I?? The cost to get these components is pretty high, are contructed weapons "better" than standard loot drops? Also, is it worth spending them on weapons/gear in the nano-forge to upgrade?

I experimented with it once and got a lightning gun from 74 rating to 103 rating which was kinda cool, and by the looks of it, I can keep upgrading? Is there a top limit? Is this a way to sorta keep my favorite weapons throughout the game?

Sorry, I'm utterly confused at this aspect of the game (that, and ideas on how to build my marksman.) It sucks I'm so friggen broke lately because I'd really like to buy this one and get access to the forums and stuff, not to mention online play :/

That's a known issue and several other "HD 2900XT" owners have reported similar problems, guess the upcomming 7.11 drivers should fix this albeit the beta worked fine in DX10 on a 2900.
(But as even the 8800 owners complain about performance it might not run that good.)

For now you should use the DX9 executable. Smile

tnx a lot m8, i also tought so, but who knows, maybe my 2900xt is not dz10 Very Happy

marksman is THEE lamest type you can play as.I mean if you want fun action then don't play as a marksman, I did up till lvl 17 and realized what a waste of time it was. The fact all your guns are so good at range that you never die, all you have to do is snipe position or run back and shoot and really takes all fun of any "hack n slash" there is to this game. I mean I guess it's good if you suck at these games but it'll seriously get so boring you'll think the game sucks.

Play the right way and you'll notice it's not as easy as you think. Enemies are usually faster than you, so running away doesn't work. And I've had a lot of different weapons already, some of them powerful, most of them weren't though. Even though they had almost the same specs. So boring ? I don't think so.

I have been playing as the Engineer and it's been a lot of fun. The Engineer reminds me of the Necromancer from Diablo II. You are like a general and your robots work for you. The first person part of it is very cool. The guns look good, but not great. It seems their textures are lower. But I am 1 level away from adding guns to my droid. With the new patch my Inhibitor bots actually slow down rushing demons. They also locate any hidden demons around the corner so I am never stabbed in the back. So far it's been a great game. Looking forward having a gun-toting droid!!

What was so different in Diablo II?

Have you gotten to the RTS mission yet? Or how about the arcade like mission where you blast demons coming down out of the sky?

If you're not liking it so far, chances are you're not going to.
