well, as one of the people that hates and depsies every existance of halo, even the word halo, I loved the game for it's co-op, and personally, I don't see any game with co-op sucking, the only thing that can ruin it is lack of action, if it has it's action, then co-op you'll be too busy screaming with your friend(s) to care about suckyness |

well the contents of the original game dont seem to suck, but a lot can go wrong with pc ports, namely bad control, which is my main concern... and no amount of gameplay videos or screenshots, or even reviews for that matter, can give you an indication of how it feels and plays.

it's Epic though... they got enough experience with pc shooters to make this game good on PC.
we'll see soon enough if they succeeded or not, but I do believe they did and gears of war will be as much fun on the pc as it was on the 360 (coop ftw!)

Every time i try to take a screen ingame, it just pauses the game and snaps a pic of the menu.

this game will suck like most of games converted from consoles. beside it takes 6h to end this crap. 6h? it takes longer to download it and install than playing it. isnt stupid?

like you give a shit, your probably going to download it.
you have to realise, the 6hr game time isnt the fault of developers, its that if a console game lasts longer or is more difficult, console gamers will lose interest, especially in action games.
and fyi, max payne 2 took 3 hours, and it was one of the best games ive ever played, so gameplay time doesnt mean shit to me to be honest. i agree, the fact that its a port does concern me, as ive not played any epic ports to my knowledge, but not all ports suck - the gta games have always been ported brilliantly, and turned out far superior to the original versions.

No.
If this game was sp only, you might have a point, but even if it was I could easily get my moneys worth if its 6 hours of awesomeness. Max Payne 2, which I own, is one example.
I want this game for the co-op and other multiplayer aspects. I will most likely buy it, unless the server browsing and shit like that sucks like rainbow 6 vegas which I also bought.

I wouldn't worry much about this being a port as it does uses the Unreal 3 Engine so there is no excuse for them to fuck up on this game.

6h gametime isnt the fault of developers? so who is responsible for that? its not the question of what platform is game designed for. its question about lazyness and effectiveness of scenario makers. most of pc and console "action" games took 6-12h of playing to complete them. its really not much. fps, tps, survival horrors, arcades, etc etc - all of them are shorter than thay should be. even action-rpgs are short now. 1 of the main reasons of downloading illegal games is the ammount of time needed to finish them. do they really believe that poor citizens from asia, eastern europe or south america will spend 10-50% of their monthly income to buy a game which can be completed in 1 day? what for?

just curious, what good long games do you guys play? i have been out of video games for a while, but have yet to see a really good game with everything you guys expect it to have.

Neverwinter nights 1 & 2 , almost all new adventures are long and complex,Titan quest,Witcher,COH,Warhammer and thats about it. Rest are to boring or to crap to play more then 30 min.
