A. System Requirements
Gears of War for Windows requires a personal computer with the following minimum system requirements:
· 2.4-gigahertz (GHz) or faster Intel processor, or 2.0 GHz or faster AMD processor.
· Microsoft Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or Windows Vista.
· 1 gigabyte (GB) of RAM.
· 12 GB of available hard disk space.
· NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or better graphics card, or ATI X700 or better graphics card.
· Support for DirectX 9.0c or later. DirectX 9.0c is included on the DVD.
· Microsoft keyboard and mouse or Microsoft-compatible keyboard and pointing device.
· Sound card and speakers or headphones for optional audio.
· Internet access for optional Gears of War downloadable content.

lol, the game doesnt use bioshock protection folks!
Hazen are you using vista??? if so, get back to xp, because vista is a pile of crap for games.

I know, vista has been doing everything right for me.
But this time.. i dont know.
Tried everything. But i get "Gears of war has stopped working" every 30seconds even if im just in the menus.
Im on a core 2 duo 8800Gts and all that juice with vista ultimate and all the newest drivers,hotfixes and directx.
Dont know what to do, i have some computer wiz on msn trying to help but still no solutiuon.

Haha, if you read a little back my friend.
youll see that Windows vista is making my day awful.
The game crashes all the time.
Anyway, ive played it on the 360, and im also in a Gow clan.
So i can manage without it for a little while;)

hazen, you have FRAPS installed, i mean, don't run together with the game, sometimes it makes the game crach ...
Anothr thing , hit CTRL + ALT + DEL, and stop all process you not using , just let the system files ... and try start the game again !

He got it working, lol, he isn't an admin on the comp he's logged into. He had to run as admin, he said he'd throw screens our way tomorrow.
