For you maybe... I just sat playing this thing for 8 hours straight online... was great fun.
Most fun i have had in a really long time actually. Course, it helps that my stepson and I get along great and he likes it as well so i am always going to hagve someone to group with. Grouping changes things dramatically.
Course, if you don;t like blowing shit up, killing creatures non stop, and collecting loot, then it probly wont float your boat.
I found My halloween stuff tonight... the visage helmet and the zombie pet thingie. the visage helmet is pretty cool and worth finding. Zombot is just something to look at really and not much use. |
Oh sorry, i forgot to say that i didn't play it online. Games for me are mostly about SP campaign because i like to see where goes the imagination of the devs, etc
And i didn't like it...
I forgot to say that i played it in Vista and had some problems. For it to start it made me download a patch for Vista from Microsof lol 
Then when i started it, the same thing appeared 2 or 3 times like for example "Nvidiaaaaaaaa the way it meant to be played!" 
And then in the game, i tried to activate dx10 because i have a 8600GT but the game would crash every time |
I thought you didn't need to activate DX10? I have 2 exes, 1 for DX9 and the other for DX10. Try using the DX10 exe and see if that works.

Found a file unpacker.

It works just fine, used it to remove the logo and intro videos.
(Looked up the names of all the logo and intro videos and overwrote those with blank BIK files, didn't remove the introduction cinematic but it can easily be done.)
EDIT: Testing the above ingame it seems the game only reads those archive files, would have been nice to get rid of the logo videos.

No. the game requires some stuff from SP2 to work.
People on the beta were asking the same thing. That was the response from the Devs. . . in a nutshell.

The game has some pretty annoying issues, for instance alot of problems from the beta are still in the game even though the first patch has been released.
There's those memory leaks which just gets worse the more you play which is quite evident as the graphics quality will be reduced quite a bit, even the inventory icons will look like crap once this happens not to mention the enviroments, characters and monsters albeit the player character will still look OK.
You can just read the official forums, alot of people complaining about all sorts of issues there albeit these memory leaks and reduced detail are the main problems for me.

The beta did help quite a lot though. You will notice that once you hit act4 (which was off limits in beta). Lots of quest lines are wrong, easily bugged or broken. Just read through the quest bug reports, most are from act4. I am not sure if I should stop playing as a safety measure till a new patch arrives :/

WTF!!! That is just wrong! I hope they get the new patch out quick! I am going to be playing this game all weekend and don't want to worry about ActIV quests being broken.

i cant seem to choose directx 10 im on vista and on a very powerful gtx 8800 what could be the problem?
and why is the music louder then voice sound any thouhgts or idea?
hope reloaded get his game out

Patch for single player is out.
Essentially, without the patch, you are playing with the beta code and none of the patch 0 code.
"A new patch for single player has just gone live, hence the "Update Available" you might be seeing in the game launcher. What's this patch include? Essentially, it updates the single player game with Patch 0 content and features, given a few exceptions. These are:
None of the multiplayer-only features (guilds, PvP, Hardcore mode, etc.)
No Halloween-themed content
No subscriber-only features
What you do get is everything else including tuned game progression, NPC tweaks, Gossip, and Elite Mode. You can check out a detailed list of all the changes, minus the content above, here. Again, this feature is now live, so go on and download it! "

I played for a while with 3 different classes, Got insanely bored because the skill selection blows like no other. I wouldn't put a point into 98% of the 3 classes skills i played, it be a waste of points.
I dunno about the rest of the classes didn't care to try. Off to the Witcher to give that a try.

Hmm...
Ok so my problems :
No X64 cracks? Game installed in 64bits by default do I have to reinstall and do some magic trick to install it in 32bits???
Now I can't even start the game... well it starts and after all the intro crap it stuck at the hellgate with the london background and stays there.
help please!

wow finally a company that said right in the face that every one bought a retail BETA and only with this patch you can turn this BETA into a FULL version hahahaha
