Trying hard to like this game but finding it very tatty with less than basic combat system at the moment, it certainly isn't no Balders gate, only hope it gets better.

So that's how it's gonna be? You're going to come back all the time and update us with what you didn't like next? Trust me, nobody cares. Write one coherent post why you didn't like it and be gone. |
Keep taking the pills son.

No seriously he's right. You did the same thing with world in conflict, we get the point you don't like the game and quite frankly no one gives a shit. Stop trolling make one post why you don't like it and shut the hell up

Okay then try to answer a question if possible instead of just flaming people.
The combat system right? As I see it you have to wait until your cursor turns to a sword, yes, then each time it turns to a flaming sword you fast click to get the next move in the combination, is this right?
Now when I try it this is what happens, nothing, I click on the my target with the sword icon and the white Wolf don't do shit, just sways about like he wants a piss, so I click like a maniac until finally he does, so what am I doing wrong. because it can't be the game that's perfect int it?

Wolves generaly need the weaker attack to hit, after that you can usually switch back up to the strong attack to nail em. But yes, you click once, he'll attack, when sword goes cursor lights up you click it again, etc.
Personally im not a huge fan of the combat system but it grew on me, I love everything else to the point where I don't even care anymore.

Actually the combat mechanics are more elaborate than that to say the least. First of all you have to choose the right style and then not only time your attacks but also sidestep/evade the attackers at your choosing. (BTW that's the way I beat the beast - by sidesteping every hit or two).
All in all, I wouldn't recommend clicking like a maniac in any occasion. Maybe you can't hit the target 'cause you are using the wrong style?
Edit: Crap! Didn't notice JBeckman's post. We pretty much say the same things.

So what your saying is to get Wolf to attack I have a better chance if the style is set to fast?
I'm playing on normal so I get the flaming sword when the timings right, most of the time I can get him to follow though with the combinations, its just getting him to start his attack is the problem I am having. The potion bit of the game, no problem, they just make them selves. I'm looking at the skills upgrade, where does it tell you how many points you have to spend?

If you look up at the top you'll see bronze silver and gold medallions which go according to your character level. Bronze is like 1-15 I think. Anywho 3 bronze points lets you level up on 3 lower level skills etc.

I wonder why there is still no cracked version of this game. That's a little bit strage because it's a very popular game.

I think that you need to complete the game before cracking it just to find all of the triggers.

It seems that only Reloaded is able to crack Solidsheild at the moment. They are probably working on it as we speak.

if I recall correctly, gothic 3 also had pretty long load times, which were shortened considerably later on by a patch.
I got used to the witcher's loading times by now and they don't bother me anymore. the game is good enough to make me look past that.
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.

Still having problems with the combat, nobody else find the left mouse button major sluggish in combat? I have to hold it down to get him to attack and getting the combinations is a nightmare, it's like the mouse only gets read every hour or so. I can't be the only one.
Other than that, yes, I am slowly getting into the game and story.

Autopsy.
(This might depend on several factors, this quest chain is very complex.)
Spoiler: |
Talk to the detective and he will suggest the autopsy, if this is already done talk to Shani and ask her to help you with it, she should ask for a book about the process so buy the medical books from the dwarf in the market district.
Also talk to the gravedigger about getting ahold of the body and getting into the cemetary, if needed purchase dwarven alcohol and bribe him with it or talk to Thaler and get him to clear the gravediggers debt in wich case he will be grateful and let you into the cemetary.
Explore the crypt and find the body hidden there but be prepared for a tough fight.
Talk to the detective again and then talk to Shani and the gravedigger again, once the body has been delivered visit the hospital at night and assist Shani with the autopsy.
|
I don't really remember everything I did but the above should help.
(There's a few different ways to do this quest, I did most of them but not all are required to progress.)

Oh now I get it, I should have read these post slower, I'm not attacking when clicking on the enemy because he is attacking me (getting one in first), so by strafing the target I can now get my hits in, tut, so simple I missed it.
