					| CPU speed going up/down because of some "save power" bug in Vista perhaps?
is CPU-Z updated to read the information correct from that kind of CPU? Could need an update or so..

					| I just disabled EIST (Intel SpeedStep Technology) wich is supposed to downclock the CPU if the power isnt needed, but still it displays the 6x multiplier in Vista. The CPU-Z is v1.41, the latest one and supports all C2D´s. Ive also checked PC Wizard and RightMark CPU Clock. Same thing.

					| I already tried Everest Ultimate. It reports CPU clock as 1800 mhz, FSB clock at 225 mhz.

					| Alright, disable in your bios (advanced bios features) both CPU enhanced Halt (C1E) and CPU EIST functions. Go back in your previous changes to default/auto settings, try your overclock over your benchmark tools then when it is set re-enable these two functions.

					| The E6750 will be displayed as "Intel Core2Duo E6750 @ 2.66ghz" in every apps, there you have its label and at its right the weird 1.80ghz down clock it is running at. | _SiN_ wrote: | | Alright, going to try that when i get off work..

					| I haven´t tried reseting CMOS yet, but i tried this - loaded optimized settings in BIOS, and now its back to 1.35 ghz in idle, 6x mulitplier. And then i tried compressing a 180 mb folder, with compression set to Best, and then it maxes out (according to CPU-Z) at 1.8ghz with 8x mulitplier. FSB is still at 225.
