I can't start the game, even after trying the fix.
I get the error: "MountAppFilesystem() failed:"

And that's it.
Any clue?

try "D:\HLEP2\half-life 2 episode two\hl2.exe" -steam -game ep2 -novid
it worked for me when i got that error

The solution was to re-extract the game files, this time through the .rar file.
