Don't know about the clone, but with the mini-image out there I can play with DT 4.10, YASU 1.3 and optical drives disabled. And I have two virtual drives.

I have used HATRED's crack for a few days and it contains Euro 2008 bug.

I ran a holiday game with the Hatred crack last night and didn't find this bug, all the usual ones qualified to the finals. Must be something else other than just the crack setting this off.
Probably need to wait for the patch.

Well, it doesn't matter as you'll need a new one for the patch. Game is not really playable at this time (no point starting a longterm game).

This is what bugs me with FM games, as much as I love them you have to wait a few months after release for the obligatory patches.

I took over Rimini in Serie B (first team to lose their manager) in Late October, first season.
They were in 21st place, that's why they sacked their manager. I played 10 games, winning 5, drawing 3 and losing 2. Wins include away games vs. Bari and Lecce.
I climb to 14th place, just 6 points behind 6th. Looking at the job security page, my job is "Very insecure". Why do I have to pay for the earlier crappy manager's mistakes? Kind of ruins the fun of taking over another club in the game, unless it's a club who's performing above expectations.

How did you take over? Just added a manager or by taking a contract? If you took a contract then it would be more realistic. Just one of those things I think?

I got offered the job. I helped them climb 7 places in 10 games and if I had kept playing I'm sure I'd do even better. How can they be disappointed with that? Makes no sense. If I had started the season at the club and played those 10 games, they certainly wouldn't be disappointed, because that would be more than enough to meet their expectations.
Though I don't think it shouldn't matter how you add the new manager, either way you should really start from scratch and the board expectations should be adjusted according to present situation.
I'm just glad I didn't buy the game yet.

If you got offered the job you signed a contract and stated your expectations for the season - in which case you were too ambitious perhaps?
It's easy to be pragmatic in a video game but real life is not much different - I don't even need to list examples it's just so prevalant. I personally like unpredictable boards and pressure - its the only challenge you get managing a top club. Different matter in the lower leagues though I admit.

Actually, you're never required to reply to any such request when taking over a team midgame. Compare

Season expectations follow directly after you get the personal welcome message from the chairman and the team report from the assistant manager. No such message in first pic.

Well then I stand corrected. As I say; I'm waiting for the patch. it's difficult to say whether your sacking is unfair or buggy. I prefer to think unfair - and so should you - and just take it on the chin. It's the kind of shit that happens in real life lets be honest.

I never actually got sacked, but probably because I quit the game in time. 
Won't continue a game like that, so I started a new one.
Still love the game and won't stop playing because of this. As you said, shit happens, we'll just have to live with it. Unless of course they fix it. On a more positive note, it seems it's easier to get sacked this time, the boards want results and they want them yesterday.
EDIT: Actually a little crazy they didn't ask how I think I'll do, they really should have. If this gets "fixed", I really hope they adjust the expectation options.
e.g. if you take over ManUtd with 10 games remaining and you're in 10th place, 15 points behind the leader, the option "Win the league" really shouldn't be available. More like "Get the team to the UEFA Cup".

Yeah those are oversights that shouldn't be happening. For a game that has a solid foundation they really know how to untangle it each year with small additions that require further polishing....

Works for me. Clone, DT v.4.09, disable( in Device Manager ) all real CD/DVD Roms so that only the virtual ones are visible.

Doesn't work anymore here.
After the game starts you see the copyright shit etc, it turns black and doesn't react anymore. Don't know what's the problem because it starts and I disabled real cd-rom.
Anyone else with the samen problem?

It happened with the FLT crack, it did not happen with the HATRED crack. If you read the thread that is confirmed. Not sure that there is a crack release for the BETA patch yet - I imagine not as it's only BETA and there will be a final patch at some point.
