Far Cry was great from the start, even without a patch.

It was rushed, Crysis wont be rushed, but still considering the game is massive, its impossible to release it without any bugs. Those trees, AI, breakable stuff, and shadows will cause some serious problems no doubt.

it is rushed as i read in the beta forum that a dev already said that they want to change a lot with the first patch and dont have the time to do it in the retail...
as always - money rules the world and they can't afford to wait longer...personally i like game delays as i bought take 2 stocks after they dropped by 18 % when gta iv was delayed...now i made 25% profit already...lol

You are wrong. Farcry DID run bad on FX cards, especially the indoor levels. I had an FX card myself. But that was not a problem with the game, it was a driver issue. It was resolved by NVIDIA publishing new Forceware drivers, not by Crytek with a patch.

I mean the single player demo .
Cuz in the multiplayer demo each time i set all graphics settings to highest they came down to low or medium .
Will the single player support directx 10 ?
I have due2core 3ghz 4gb ram and geforce 8800gtx 768 mb .
Just wonder if it worth to install vista 64 bit with dx10 or not ?
Thnx .

why are assholes determined to be so down about this game? it looks fucking amazing, the multiplayer played great, the production values are amazingly high, and the few videos ive seen of gameplay looked kickin... some people just love to drag shit down, because they know that they cant make anything worthwhile themselves.

wait, your seriously calling a game shit based on a BETA? and what bugs? the only bugs i saw were some netcode crap, a weird sound bug (that EVERYONE had, so no doubt that was on top of the list to fix), rocket damage balancing, vehicle damage balancing, and optimisation (but again... BETA kinda says 'optimisation issues? gee... no kidding, you dont say...)
hardly a huge list of things that need fixing...
and re: textures - i think they purposely used low quality textures and disabled quite a few things in the beta...

which means its on torrents in 6... sif id buy from EA... theres a local online site thats selling the collectors edition for the same price as the standard... guess ill buy from them

dont get me wrong - i loved the mp beta... however i found a lot of weird bugs.. and even some devs said that there are a lot of things that they want to fix in the first patch and dont have time to fix them before the retail goes gold...

noones even played it yet, so taste doesnt even come into it. on technical merits alone, the game is amazing.
