i love this game (online only)... i still play the demo online ,i'm so annoyed that i have deleted the image from my HD ... finding the iso now is tough (not a request .. but if more people know about this the ISO might do the rounds again
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

I played the demo and thought it was awful and I've no reason to suppose the full game is any better, terrible controls/response and I hated the way the wheel kept falling off my BMW.

Are you kidding? I play it on Xbox and this is one of the best racing games -if not the best- at the moment. Great graphics, great controls, good damage system, decent ai and a lot of different races/cars/tracks (normal cars, truck racing, rally etc.).
Every fan of racing games who has only a PC should try to get it working because there are only very few good racing games on the PC.

yes I did it, here's how:
suppose you d-loaded the 4.6gb .mdf image
1. mount RACEDRIVER2.mds using daemon tools 3.47
2. install the game
3. shut down pc and safely remove cables from cd/dvd unit
4. turn on your pc and now mount "RACEDRIVER2.mds" from the "mini image" package
5. run game and use this s/n: *DELETED*
6. when message: "insert race driver 2 cd!" appears insert again the first "RACEDRIVER2.mds"image - the big one
click retry, and your done
tell me if it works for you, for me it did.

Hi, cjsneek, you have US mini image and €uropeene game this is the reason that you must change from mini to full image by start the game, thei are two images in circulation one on GCW is US version, and a other on emule or torrent thei are €uro with €uro image and €uro game just start the game with mini image & no change. but your methode work it's already the first we have tested

someone in another thread said "Works Like A Charm .... With NFORCE 2 chipset works even with cd/dvd roms plugged and enabled .....And Patch 1.2 installed also ... Really Cool "
But I have the A7n8x Deluxe board (nforce2) and i still need to unplug my cdrom/dvd drives, ide and not just power, since the board still sees the plugged drives and refused to boot unless u give the drives power or unplug the IDE.

apparently all you have to do to run this is to disable the second ide channel in device manager in windows (depends on personal setups but i guess most people have their optical drives on second ide) ... no need to disconnect anything
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

Let us make toca 2 a Competition... The first group who can cracked it and really works is the New champion of the scene and is teh successor of Fairlight, which I keep very high in regard

That is the mini image, unfortunatly they're the wrong size. The .mdf should be 56,448k and the .mds should be 28,374k.

Thx for the info shabby.
I found the mini image with the filesizes you mentioned.
Weird thing tho - when I mount it (with either alcohol or daemon) it only produces one file in the virtual drive. The file is 'rd2_usa' - no file extension. The file size is only 13 bytes.
I don't know what to do with that file. I assume there should be more.
Any ideas?

no shabby didn´t know what he was talking about..
toca2.mds (5k)
and
toca2.mdf (4,504,928k) are the game installation files first install game with that installer..shutdown computer and than plug off your cd/dvd cables.. mount "mini-image" (don´t care about (rd2_usa) file) just begin the game from desktop shortcut and when it asks serial u put there serial which u have to find somewhere else...
ps.
does anybody have any suggestions how to prevent that u have to plug off power or/and ide cable form your cd/dvd...if it helps anything i have to plug off only power cable from my cd..and i have nforce2 chipset..

ronatola .. you need to download the mini image from gamecopyworld or elsewhere as the release does not contain despite what the NFO says
crackpie... enter the bios and chose "peripherals" sections and enter ide control sub section and turn off the ide channel to which your physical optical drives are connected ,probably IDE1 (remember IDE0 is the first channel, your hard drive is probably connected to) ... no need to unplug anything for at least the nforce2 chipset , i believe they must be all the same

no unfortunately ,i have tried a few things but turning off the channel in the bios is the best solution for me so far. It's kind of my default setting now and i only turn it back on when burning discs or installing. would be nice if somebody could find a better one
