Honestly if you say this game looks like shit get a new box & your eyes checked while your at it. Obviously its gonna look like shit on your 2 year old pc & what not. Has to look like shit to run on a shit box. Anyway on another note...this is not a FPS with rpg elements. This is a RPG hack & slash which can be played in FPS mode. Does anyone actualy read up on the product befor making assumptions. I run this game maxed to the tities in DX10 on my new sexy 24" LCD from LG and it doesn't not in any shape or form look like shit.

it will work just means your playing on a US server. its the only one available for the beta. But on release if you are from the US you can join EU servers & vise versa.

So far pretty ok, graphics are ok (dx 9, all maxed out ) and gameplay is repetetive, but it's ok with me, i like that kind of stuff + it has a bit of action, so it wont let me fall asleep
So I can share my account with people that will be playing hgl around this time (I'll probably be playing it during the day, now its pretty late, gmt +2 here) So yeah, if you have no problems with playing around this time, pm me.

For those saying the graphics are horrible, I dont know why because in the beta it tells you, but when you set texture levels, you must restart the game for it to take effect, and it defaults to low, they dont tell you this when you change the settings.
The buildings and pretty much all outdoor textures in certain areas still look washed out (forced low), even with textures on very high, so I don't know whats going on there, same problem in beta so I expect it in retail as well.

Wow i know that graphics dont make games, but the game looks like poop. I set everything to High and Super Duper high and restarted, and it still looks like shit. It runs good, but id be very surprised if it didnt looking like that. Will have to play through the demo to see how the game play is. It is probably downscaled because it is gonna be sort of MMORPGs, and in MMORPG graphics are not that important.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

If the full version's anything like the demo, HGL just became the top contender for #1 disappointment of 2007. Boring and bland gameplay/combat, weak graphics and animations as well as poor sound effects, music and ambience. What a piece of crap.

which is exactly why it should have been a console game. average graphics are like gold to them, and bland to us is utterly exciting and visually stunning to that lot... just look at the halo games

You forgot; horrible cramped levels and like 1 minute loading to the next cramped level.. lol! That's kinda (huge understatement) disaponting, especially after playing WoW or any other game with a huge gameworld and no loading whatsoever..

Indeed, i got bored pretty quickly. Though i didnt get very far, it was so freaking linear that it makes hl2 look like far cry, i dont know, it might be much more open later but i just couldnt take it. Linear doesnt automatically means the game sucks, but the level i was, was boring as hell. Animation is pretty bad too.There is a lot of positive feedback about the MP, so the team (because it is pretty small) probably concentrated on the MP part, since it will bring the most cash money.

Hmm well from early impressions, I'm still on the fence about this one. I agree with the limited linear areas part, but from seeing gameplay videos there are (apparently) wider open spaces in other maps. It's pretty normal for a demo to be the shitty maps. And the load times arent bad, for me anyways. The animations and physics could use some work definitely.. I love the transition from 1st to 3rd person, wish more games would give the option. And the skill tree seems a decent start.
One weird thing is the only option I get is DX9 render in options. Anyone else with a 8800 and vista only get this option or know why this is? Running beta 163.71 drivers.

all those who say the game looks sexy as hell on their omgwtfirs01337 pc's, can you post some screens? then ill be the judge of whats cool and what aint  the publicity shots on gaming sites always did look like shit to me, but that was a few months back... im interested to see what it actually looks like NOW on peoples rigs.
