I've said it before and i'll say it again...PC gaming has had it's day...Unless someone draws a line in the sand and says we develop at this level and no higher, they are never gonna survive in a market where you can buy a nextgen (current gen really) console for the price of a top level GFX card.

Poeple will keep doing/buying PC game cause graphics and sound quality evolve and Multiplayer sucks monkey balls on console. Orange box games looks like shit on X360 compare to PC but you're right, having one piece of PC hardware that cost the same price or more expensive than a whole console is outrageous. Only the frame rate freaks will buy a 700$ graphic cards on release. I play a lot of MP game..but 8 vs 8 like on Live doesnt cut it for me, i dont even join a server on PC where theres less than 25 players. And no to mention that on PC, games get patched faster and we get map packs made by the community for free. On Live, you need to pay for every shit you download even you pay Live on top of it.

Well, I had already bought the PC version so I just finished ep2 and portal on the PC. It ran like crap compared to the 360 but I ran them in 1920x1200 so what can I expect. Both excellent games for sure! Still going to play TF2 on the Xbox I think though.

He's not talking about the xbox live service, its the multiplayer limitations of it. 8 vs 8 players is a laughable limit by pc standards.
And lets not forget this whole gamepad thing, playing a fast paced deathmatch game with a gamepad is like trying to draw something on photoshop using only a keyboard.

But what does that matter if everyone playing is on a level playing field. it's not like its pads vs mice is it. personally I like more intimate games 4v4 8v8, gets stupid with 24 players sometimes. And LIVE is much better for finding games an maintaining a decent quality connection, I remember when I used to play Battlefield and the ime it took to get into the game was ridiculous and lets not get started on cheating.
Graphics alone have never made a bad game good, quality is made up of lots of elements and resolution is a tiny part.
No think consoles are the future tbh.

TFC ( TF2 ) only gets better when they where more players involved
If its 4 vs 4 half the time Its just offy vs def the rest of the time its people mulching midfield with one or 2 going lone offy / def
If its 8 vs 8 the majority of the time teams more often than not in pubs have more defense than offense as its an easier job to deal with , So there is more skill involved in more populated servers imo

Played HL2 Episode 2 and its really utter crap.. the graphics are ten times worse then Halo 3 and thats saying something, there is absolutely NO gameplay 'oh jeez.. no electricity what the fuck should i do? ohhh lets use my gravity gun to put the wire in the socket.. WOOOW genius gameplay only been done from half life 2' the moments where it supposed to be excited are really dissapointments for example: waiting in the pitt for the insects to come.. you have to move the turrets to keep control of the bugs. i was just thinking to myself is this really the best you can do? and at the end when they overrun you they put some dull music on so they hope i get more excited.. not to mention the very obvious scripted events thats leaves me with a very bad taste.. tossed it in the bin.. but for the ppl that actually enjoy it.. GL. you're gonna need it.

Ive started playing HL2 from the beginning even though I already finished it and episode one on the pc. Im going for a full recap on the story and the previous events that lead up to episode two. I forgot what a blast this game was. Piling things high to reach other areas is so much fun and launching anything and everything at your enemies with the gravity gun is great! Is episode two visually the same or did they manage to increase the aesthetics?
