i had trouble extracting one of the files (checksum-error in winrar, but sfv said the rars were fine), so i thought it was because of that. Apart from the missing textures on the axe and the grenades i also had those jesus-christ-pose NPCs two or three times...

The game itself was great. As enjoyable as episode 1 and about as long i d say. The ending was a bitch though. I hope in Episode 3 they wont go for an open ending that eludes to HL3 but never tells us anything about the g-man, like the very abrupt ending of HL...

Yep same problem here but I'm buying the game just as well when it's released here the 18th (I have all HL games)

* Also have a probem @ the part where you get the Antlions, the NPC says like "here have a med pack" but doesn't give anything lol.

Unleashed sucks with it's releases they should let the real rls groups do it.

I just hope they have Half-Life 9 and 10 on paper. I hope this never ends. This game is unbelievable. Will be very sad when Ep2 is over and have to wait for Ep3. This really makes me want to play through all of them again. Great story, characters, physics puzzles and combat. The Hunters are awesome and really add that needed dread to the game. Half-Life has become a language. If you understand the language all puzzles are easily passed. They are good puzzles and I have great fun with each one but it's just something that grows on you through all the games in this great series.

10 out of 10 easily!

Nice work Shadak!! You are really doing the right thing. The story is the best part. You really have some great gameplay coming. I really enjoyed Ep1, played through it 3 times. Ep2 is a lot better. I really think Valve has this Half-Life universe solved. It's just a joy for us to experience their work. I am really glad that I bought the Orange Box. When I am done with Ep2, will move on to TF2 and Portal.

Well I don't remember driving taking a big part of HL2....
What's the point of playing EP2, if you don't know what it's all about? Just shooting and running is not fun at all, when you are not into the story.

Screw you guys. I'm going home.

Damn!!! Do not play Ep1 and Ep2 without beating GOTY Half-Life 2. Unreal, I have never heard anyone say that it was boring. Give it another try knowing you have some the best gaming and best running story in gaming coming your way.

Just finished EP2 and i have to say bravo. Absolutly loved it, taking the story away from City 17 has just reenergized my love of the Half Life universe. I have to say after first completing EP1 i was alittle wary of how EP2 would turn out but its really gotten things moving again. In saying that though over the last 2 days i've played through HL2, EP1 and EP2 and i really feel EP1+EP2 should have surfaced as one product.

EP1 just seems so mindless story wish as a stand alone. Sure the concept was great, "escaping the decimation of City 17 ", but really it didn't progress the story one iota (minus the combine packet delivery). Anyway Ep2.

Gameplay.

Has really moved forward with the introduction of the Hunters. I much better addition than the pointless Stalkers in EP1 (What was the point of those?). Outside of the Hunters there's lots of fun with the gravity gun and business as usual with the combine. I have to say i've always been a fan of HL2 combat, its more of the same with a twists but throughly enjoyable.

Graphics.

Not awhole lot has changed here. Obviously some bumped up textures and some smoothing on the whole but other than that its a small leap from HL2/EP1. In saying that though the new enviroments look spectacular in 1080p with 16AA/16A (Which runs smooth as silk here). I was blown away by the Antlion nest and the Forest in general.

Audio.

As perfect as it was in the last too chapters. The reason i spend €600 on speakers and an X-Fi card.

Longevity.

Not much in with the standalone, maybe if Fakefactory sorts out the Vista bugs but more than likely won't be played again till EP3 nears. The orange box though kicks ass, Portals got some game time in it after the short SP and TF2 rules.

Overall.

One of the best games i've played in a long while,

Ispep, i`m blocked at giant 4 legged freaks Smile. I`m in level that you must "stick" balls on giant`s head in shoot to explode. Remain just one, at the end who desstroy rocket and mission fails. Problem si... the ball DON`T stick on that one. I don`t know the reason but doesnt work. The ball fall down or explode with no effect. Giant wins everytime. Pls. help.
Thanks.

Half.Life.2.Episode.Two.FIX.READNFO-ViALUK

hi amigo!

so here we are after a period of inactivity with another rls.
oh yeeeha and it's the fucking hl2ep2...
blah, blah

extract teh archives, copy the extracted files to your hl2ep2
dir. run the game by running start.bat

this fix, fix teh errors...that you have so, it not modifies
game content, only thhe executable file and we
put there a bin dir with a dx9 dll and a steam dll...

the exe is for accepting the .bat parameters so you need to
overwrite it! there is nothing modified!

I cant get the wide screen setting to stick or work for that matter, is there a workaround for this?
And why does it say DX9.4 (grayed out), and not selectable) did not even know there was such a version?
