Mini-Review
I went into this game with expectations that it was going to be garbage, so I was very pleasently surprised.
It's nothing new, but it's a very, very, polished modern-warfare style game, definaitly worth trying the demo, if you're going to be into the multiplayer it's an instant-buy, but you already know that.
Graphics - 8/10, looked very nice, had it on max settings.
Optimisation - 9/10, ran beautifully on my 4200x2/2gb/8800, a good 50fps constant, 1440x900.
Gameplay - 6/10, nothing new, at all but it was very well done
Sound - 8/10, very well done overall, but weaponry noises were a bit dull. Excellent voiceovers though.
Overall? 7/10. Easily worth downloading the demo, whether or not you should buy it is...your decision to make, not mine  . I personally won't bother with this one.
(For comparison, I'd give the new Timeshift a 6/10).

runs great here on 8800gts 320 but i cant enable high on models and dynamic lights only medium.Any1 knows where's the problem or its just only in the demo.

some games only enable high rez textures to cards that have 512mb+ of video memory, otherwise the card will risk running out of memory |

This game is quite fun. I never looked at the COD games to bring anything new to gaming, but what I always expect from them is to keep the action up like they always do, and they did it damn well, you always have this feeling you'll be shot to hell if you pop up out in the open. My only complaint is the guns sound cheap, they have no umph in them.

Indeed, i thought it was great, just a few seconds of breathing time before you'll be shot from every side and then some. Graphics are very pretty, and it was very well optimized, i was surprised how well it ran. I don't think anyone expected something groundbreaking from the game, it will be the same good old cod, just with a face lift and new settings. Cod has always been about non stop action and scripted events on linear paths, and it stays true to itself. I think i'll be buying it, because it is exactly what i expected it to be, over the top shooter. I actually don't remember gun sounds at all, have to replay it, because so much stuff is happening at the same time, i just didnt pay attention to it i guess.

Yeah wish the would give us a multiplayer map, just like the xboxers, with limited weaponry and skills, just to give us a small taste. I think it will be great fun, but im basing it on the videos i saw, it's always better to play it and watch someone else doing it.

Wouldn't go as far as saying better than GRAW yet (yes I liked it, 2 even better). Kind of another genre, you know. But definitely better optimized - I agree with sentiments here, very smooth experience especially with everything being shot up constantly.
Good old COD, lots and lots of chaos and even more terrorists than the german army. Judging solely from the gameplay videos, I hope we'll get a good spread of scenarios. This demo is severely gimped in that way, in only showing one completely crazy level. I sure know I'd love to clear more dark buildings with the NV and that laser/infra sight. The flashbangs totally own.
All in all after reading past comments, I was happily surprised by the quality of the demo. I reckon I'll be completing it half a dozen times more.

The demo was kinda short and lame... i wasn't impressed. it's just a crappy graw 2 clone. i've liked CoD 1 & 2 but CoD 4 sucks.
UT 3 and Crysis will be better than this crap.

One of the few modern day warfare games that feels "right"
I dont think its fair to compare this to GRAW.. this is far more action hordes of enemys etc
remember this IS a call of duty game...

Strangest thing. First time i ran it, it was very smooth, everything was on max. Now it is choppy, almost unplayable. Tried different settings, lowered the resolutions, turned off shadows, DOV, and some other things, it is still very choppy. Have no idea what the problem is.

god the action is better than the other COD's, but damn, I just can't stand the guns sounds, sounds like cheap fisher price cap guns or gas powered air soft guns
