I think the nuke of the Dagger release is premature. If you look at the files on both releases, some of the files on the Dagger release are newer by a few hours up to a day or two.

bugs all over the place.
thrown through walls
lockups/freezes
scripting issues
visual artifacts
appalling collision detection
camera angles for the executions need work
some sounds missing ingame and cutscenes
places with placeholder voicers, rather than actor voices.
This is from the Dagger release....rock, which version did you get?

is that confirmed? Because there's alot of glory talk about Manhunt 2 and how playable it is, and i'm feeling that i'm playing the first testing copy, to get the initial bugs. There's so many.

well, I can confirm that both are identical.
Both releases have the same lighting glitch on 'sexual deviants' and both have the soundless cutscene after that very level.
So in case anyone is ACTUALLY wondering.....both releases are the same one.

I'm about halfway through the game, and I noticed:
- One cutscene (with the woman in the white suit) with no sound
- You can drop a dead body on one side of the wall, and pick it up on the other side (goes through the wall)
- Textures of shell casings (in levels with guns) can be seen through walls
I have yet to see "placeholder" voiceovers... that's a definite beta thing for sure
I haven't experienced any lockups/freezes. "Bad collision detection" is often found in final games, so I don't know if that's a beta thing.
All in all, I'd say "close enough", as far as this game goes. Looks like at least a few people have confirmed you can get to the end.

Hasnt it retailed in Holland yet? I thought it was being released over there and if so it wouldnt be released as a beta.

I don't really care too much for this game, but this censorship issue is worrying, especially the fact that the edited version was also refused certification by the BBFC.
All the most brutal murder scenes have been blurred out, it was given an M rating in the US, so how the fuck can they refuse certification in the UK.

Because in all reality they want to become Germany on censorship. Sooner or later you will only be able to buy rated E games in the UK which really blows.

It's probably because the UK is suffering from an unpresidented amount of street violence never before witnessed in it's modern history.
So instead of stopping the drug dealers and criminals and the huge ever widening social divide, they choose to sensor some crappy game.

Think its been given a M rating in US and others.
If I was you, I would get ready for Alot of games getting banned in the UK now.. Im guessing the Ba***rds will also ban GTA if they think the edited version of manhunt 2 is too much for adults to play.
I watched abit of Hostel 2 last night, the bit where she is hanging upside down getting her back sliced to bits and then her throat slit and that seemed ALOT worse than MH2!!!

I don't think this is the start of a trend, at least I hope not. Manhunt is a particularly vicious game, I mean you get to castrate someone with pliers!

The first game was really really really horrible in terms of gameplay. It sucked big time. And that was on PC, I've heard that the controls on the PS2 and Xbox1 sucked even worse.
I don't have much faith in this one, but I still am a bit interested in how the controls will be for the Wii.
