I just finished playing the Single player campaign for this. It cetainly wasnt shit. Like the Ground Control games, the dialog/cut scenes and characters make all the difference, top quality stuff even if the whole storyline was implausible.

Never got into the multiplayer whilst in the beta though, but single play was fun while it lasted.

Actually, that was one employe who spoke without checking the facts so they decided to go along with it...still - i had a laugh when I saw the first patch so soon Razz

there are just some problems that are almost impossible to find without having a few hundred thousand people playing the game. as long as everyone has a different pc there will always be patches for pc games. if everyone had the same pc testing would be easy and some games would never even need patches, but it's just not like that.

This game is still prety rare in online gaming because it require pretty powerful PC to run smoothly and I think that is the most reason why "no one" is playing this online.

I'm just saying this game runs very well on older systems if you reduce the details and resolution. there are some great looking games out there that will run like shit on older pcs even if you set everything to low, but this is not one of em.

im playing this game at 1920x1200 with everything maxed in DX10 mode & 16x AA. Only time it lags is when there is multiple nukes being lauched.

Haha exactly, with a 4400+ and GTS you can't run it smooth at high even in 1280.

Game lags a little bit with c2d and 1950pro@1440x900 when there's lots of smoke around(~12-15fps), graphics medium/high. So i think with 8800 series that must be no problems. And i know that on older pc's game is running fine.

The smoke/explosions fucking kill my FPS (down to 10 when the rest is running around 35-40), amd64 3200+, 1gb ram and 8600gt ... playing 1024x768 @ low.

I have an 8800GTX and smoke sometimes kills my fps too (especially with nukes). So a GTS is surely not capable of that res with all settings at high.

Strange... my FPS only falls down to 15 when a nuke falls...

Well, mine too dips to 16-19fps with a nuke, but still, smoke does lower fps quite fast.

But still, it's so pretty, I don't really care. And it's an RTS, so no need for 60fps.
