I did it with 4x2 eurocent and it fixed my 360 a few months ago. However I didn't play a lot ever since I fixed it, so I got no idea if it would survive playing 5 hours straight or anything.
I usually only play 1 or 2 hours max and then let the box cool down again before I play more.
if you got the tools for it, the xclamp replacement seems to be the better long-term method (if it works)
