Thats because the video was biased against them, so they tried to portray them in a bad way. Teachers are pissed because their wages are shitty. Maybe they should pause to think as to why? California's high schools are failing, so Schwarzenegger cut funds flowing in to them. I mean, why should we waste money on failing institutions? Smart move if you ask me. Maybe now people will get their heads out of their asses and actually reform the system, until then, no pay.

It's almost like the public school system in the US is designed to fail, creating either unquestioning idiotic consumers or unquestioning idiotic bulletstoppers. Do you really have that good of a chance without going to a private school in the US?

If you're motivated, you have a chance for anything. Problem is most kids in the American high school system aren't motivated, because they don't realize how behind they are compared to everyone else. Its just a sad cycle of ignorance.

Ahh yes, the American dream ... Iif you try hard, you will succeed. Now, why is it called a "dream" again Wink

You have to admit, the quality gap between public and private schools in the US is about the size of the Grand Canyon, not like they could even find that on a map.

Great Documentary!

But most countries got kind of a monopoly. At least the teachers get paid for what they do anyway. Some get some ekstra by being IT responsible, contact person etc, but nothing more than that. But easier to fire them, without this stupid US system. The part about the teachers that was taken away from school just meeting up at a place, getting paid because of some stupid contract really made me sick. Its like USA/aka the goverment is to fucking lazy to change things. They got the money, so they don't care.

Well, would be fun to compare USA to South Korea. Unifroms and disiplin might work too. There are leak of respect and disiplin in Norwegian schools too.

And Polish people got very high IQ, judging my HDI and income.

Uniforms is one way to keep things on track. Not directly to teaching but to something you are forced to do. The fewer things are mandatory, the less attention the students will give. don't overdo it but don't give so much freedom.

It all starts from discipline and the rest follow. If a student feels the need to study, he/she will do on whatever condition. The rest need a number of rules to keep them on topic and then work on the rest of things to improve it.

I agree with that. Uniforms are good. It creates less distractions for the students. You dont have to worry about what your wearing, if its cool etc

My highschool had uniforms and I loved it. never had to worry about i was going to wear to school. and plus, skirts + tight white shirts on the girls = good times Smile
