As i just got a 360 i´m a bit clueless about what to grab of the older game releases Sad

any "must have" game suggestions would be usefull Very Happy

(i heared about the over hyped stuff already Wink so pls skip that)

dead rising is one of the oldest and best games of the 360.
then of course we also have gears of war which you most likely know.
forza motorsport 2 if you're into racing I guess.

can't think of anything else worth playing on the 360. not a lot of really good games on this system.

excuse me? where did I say "not a lot of good games compared to ps3 and wii"?
all 3 systems have mostly junk. still doesn't change the fact that there are very few really good games on the 360.
I own a 360, I should know.

I dunno. besides the games I mentioned and stooz mentioned is there really anything else that's a must play game for the 360? I don't think so.
I mean.. besides oblivion which is better on pc, and bioshock which is a hyped game and as such wasn't supposed to be mentioned according to the original post.
GRAW was also good I guess.

bioshock was hyped, everyone was looking forward to it. that's hype.
it's a good game, but still, obviously the original poster knows about bioshock.

oh and lost planet, just cause and call of juarez were all just average games. definitely not must-have if you ask me.

i call hyped HL2 and Stalker, ppl were waiting for those games for years and what did they get HL2 needed trillion patches and still have issues which they ignore
Stalker never realy got finished and in fact was chopped off a bit

Bioshock was anounced about a year before it hit the shelves [inet Very Happy ] so that is in no way hyped and everything they said it will be it is Wink

hmm yeah maybe I'm misinterpreting the word "hype".
for me that's basically every game for which people have huge expectations, wether those expectations were met or not doesnt matter.

which is probably wrong, I dunno, I don't exactly have much to do with the word outside of nforce.

that's not important though, all I wanted to say is that I'm sure the topic creator knows the huge games like bioshock, gears of war and halo 3.


(bioshock was actually announced about 3 years ago btw Wink )

Kameo, Test drive unlimited, Ghost recon advanced warfighter 1+2, dead rising, gears of war, halo, Project gothem racing 4, sega rally, crackdown, saints row, skate, lego stars wars II, need for speed carbon, pro evo or fifa whatever takes your fancy, tiger woods, rainbow six vegas, virtua tennis 3, rayman ravin rabbits, Forza 2, Halo 3, and probably loads i missed.

The 360 really does have a nice selection of games

saints row is kinda like GTA I believe, never played it.
Dead Rising is pretty much a free roaming zombie killing game. You got story missions which you can choose to ignore if you like, and you got a huge mall (like in the Dawn of the Dead movie) full of stuff you can use as weapons.
you can throw cds at zombies, or basket balls, or bowling balls, or hit em with whatever. a pretty damn funny game if you're into that kinda stuff.

Saint's Row is a shameless clone of Grand Theft Auto, but it is done very well, and is one of the few games I went completely through. It is so much fun you won't regret it. You never get tired of plowing someone over and watching their body flop through the air with the hilarious physics.

And watching your gang members battle it out with police and shit, it's awesome. Very Happy

stooz is right about Saints Row it is a good game (fun) its the best sandbox game I have played that isnt GTA hopefully the sequel will be even better.

Gears of War
Bioshock
Forza 2
TDU
Saints Row
Crackdown
Halo 3
NHL (any the 360 versions are the best)
COD 3
COD 2
PGR 3
Oblivion

For me those are the must haves on the 360 and for me I judge that by wether or not I would pay for the game and in the case of those above I would/have. For the time it has been out the 360 has just as many good quality titles as any other console has had and is certainly a better option than the PS3 seen as the majority of the good games on that are just delayed/worse version of the ones on the 360 and the wii well I dont even think its fair to compare casual kiddy garbage to whats on the 360 so I wont.

STALKER was not hyped. Hyped does mean your own individual expectations, but how much the developer/publisher has promoted the game and blown it out of proportion.

Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards

Dunno if you are into RPG games or not, but Eternal Sonata looks to be really good from what i have played of it.

Another good game is that new Conan game. Gore galore.

Viva Pinata can be intresting at times.

The Darkness, GOW, Saints Row, Halo 3 and Call of Duty 3 are the games iv completed on the 360. All of them are pretty great. Also playing some forza 2, Dead Rising and Viva pinjata Razz
