FLT crack seem to be a bad one this time, as soon as you save the game will crash. This has been confirmed by many others and upgrading gfx drivers wont help.

Again, a bug in the game, not with the crack, check the 2k tech support for all these and more.

Upon investigation, it seems it is a bad FLT crack, I`d best get the Lolcats one again.

"Death to P2P cracks" - What a joke the scene has become... I never thought I'd see the day when a scene release is not only late but doesn't deliver against an independent release.

It's only because sceners are tied down by strict rules, while everyone else can get away with everything, as long as it ... "works"

Indeed. The FLT crack is a piece of shit, and doesn't remove the SecuROM VM any more than the Darkcoder crack does. I'm surprised FLT's hasn't been nuked.

OK OK, I withdraw the word "strict" from my statement. Still, what about the old Hoodlum and Vengeance cracks ? They were "worse"

P.S.: Technically, the exe isn't Securom-wrapped anymore. Leave the VM do its stuff ...
Although it seems they missed a few triggers, huh ?

triggers ...

No, it is securom wrapped because the VM of securom isn't just a VM in the traditional sense where it emulates instructions "stolen" from the game code, but it also handles encrypted code, API redirection etc etc... stuff that are pretty much present in every wrapper.

And Fairlight fixes none of these. They leave securom in the exe 100% intact, 99% identical to the original securom'd process.

So this is not a crack, where the protection is removed, but a simple workaround, which is comparable to other things the scene has nuked in the past, such as loaders.

Well smart people dont buy games that you can finish in 8h and do everything on the first run aka no replay value.

To be completely fair, this wasn't an flt release in anything but name.

allow me to tell you a little story my friend Smile

once upon a time, the scene was a friendly place with groups competing
against each other to prove their existance was worthly of this dark
under ground group of cults.

Groups would provide beautifully crafted and reverse engineered executables
along with pretty installers and gfx demo signatures blasting the greatest
chip sound music you have ever heard.

Welcome to the 21st century, where the scene is no more a place of art
but dog eat dog groups competing to release whatever they can get their hands
on in the fastest way possible,

did cracking ability die? or did protection quality increase, i would imagin within
the next 2 years simply nop'ing out a cd check should be 'acceptable'

in the 90's there were also shit groups, but since most users here are kiddies of 12 years old, no one remembers/knows it.
