Damn, so many people here that seriously needs a life, a job, a girlfriend and some friends

Glad i don't fit that description.

I liked Everquest.... never stuck to any other MMORPG. . . may have been because it was the first one I really tried. I beta tested Ultima Online but it was CRAAAAAP druing the test and I never got over it.
I absolutely detested WOW and it's community. Gave it 2 chances... just couldn't make myself come close to liking it. To each his own.

exactly, some people spend even more time than people playing mmo's on offline games. It's all about moderation, I play wow but it's not like it's the only thing I do with my time.

I hate the fact that you could fly through most mmorpg's content within a month or two. After which they just become a glorified (monthly payment) chatroom for the next few months till they release new updates or expansion packs.

I love the fact that you in many cases can sell your character, making up for the monthly fees you spent playing the game.
That's what I did when I tired of WOW some year ago. So basically I bought and played the game for free.
