|
 |
Since midnight, My ISP is capping us and i was wondering if there was a program or a workaround that my ISP see less that im actually doing. I installed Netlimiter 2 (Thanks to LeoNatan for the prog) and i was stunned to see that it took 128mb just to load the headers of some of the newsgroup im using. I usualy load them 5x a day to get lattest NZBs for my site.
I hope someone can help cause theres no way i can live with watching my every movement on the net in fear to bust my limit.

Haha, a thing like that can't be possible. The ISP serves you the information you request, so they keep track of it all. You can't just trick them into thinking how much bandwidth you're using. You either need to cut your net use, or switch an ISP that has an unlimited plan.

Thats the problem, we dont have one or its a slow ISP thats very expensive like 7mbit for 73$/month.
And its not really about cutting my net use...those pricks didnt thought about HDTV shows.

I couldn't live with such a cap...
It's good thing here in IL ISPs fear the customers leaving, so they wouldn't even dream of caping the net (except one stupid, crappy ISP).

we dont have a download cap,at least yet.
but our speeds are terribly slow, for e.g I have 1.5Mbit downstream and cant remember how much upstread.
but no cap,so I usually download around 500GB per month, and even more than that.
costs 15$/month

Only fucked up thing about israeli isp's is the bandwith slowdown' that slow down any connection outside israel, i never get my full 2.5 speed on afternoons or weekends while downloading from europe or specialy USA. fuck knows why though i never got into it.

I always max out my connection when I download from respectable places. You're probably using some crappy public torrent sites.

nah i hardly ever use torrents i mostly use very fast FTP sites and thats fine never had a problem there, talking about http transfers or video sites like youtube that dont download at the same rate while outside israel on certain times, including USA-Europe game servers that give me very high pings while playing online on the times ive mentiond while israeli game servers give me low ones. wierd. only thing i could think of is the isp flooding on those times, maybe my isp cant handle alotta users. to be very clear about it .. i max out my connection during the morning and on the night but between those times there are noticable slowdowns.

Who's your ISP?
I know that almost every ISP (if not every ISP) other than Bezeqint got some serious problems with site outside of Israel. I know that Barak and Netivision have blocked trackers like TorrentLeech completely in certain times to save on bandwidth.
With Bezeqint I always download on my max speed (250kB/s) from private torrent sites.

100mbit bidirectional for free, and i got more at the uni... Nothing good to download though, that's my problem. But it's nice to be able to stream everything. From thinking what movie I want to see, to actually sitting on the sofa it takes usually less than 20 seconds... Another nice touch is CounterStrike from steam, my record is less than 40 seconds from downloading steam to spraying bullets on de_dust, pretty nice.
Oh, I'm trying to say that all your connextion are lame.

Yeah, but you have to live in Sweden which is the most boring place on the planet. Enjoy your internet though!
