is it correct that the xbox360 just needs a changed firmware of the dvd drive to be able to run copies? or is there anything else that needs to be done.
i have seen that there are modchips too ... whats the advantage of these?
since the 360 got a hdd drive, is it possible to run isos just from the drive (i have read that this was possible @ the old xbox) ?
after all would you still suggest to buy one these days, since its not realy a new console (rlsed 2005)?

yes, just make sure u get decent Dual Layer burner and use quality media, depends on your drive too

are all drives "flashable" or are there eg new ones without modded firmwares?
both by Team Xecuter look like a nice combo to get, for making this stuff easier to deal with, however that is all I know about this topic.
In terms of cracking open my case, and what works and what does not. I would love to find a current type guide (and not that outdated one for dummies or whatever).
so far i have read that the "new" iextrem flashes are not able to (old) play "unstealthed" games.
is it possible to add that kind of patch to older games?
what does that modification realy do? as far as i understood .. it should "stealth" you to play online through xbox live ... but thats not realy working or? is there any other function of the patch?
Looks like if you purchased a Unit manufacturerd after December 2006 you might be ass out of luck, or have a VERY hard time modding the box. Is this worth it for me right now? NO. MS has really stepped up and made gaming worthwhile on the 360. I do not mind paying for legal fun at the moment.
Would I mind being able to dabble with games I would never buy in the first place?
