Laughing Why?

actually thats common, comes from the old school shooter days.

@gax ya you should, have you tried it in the demo? If not let me know and I'll get check for ya.

Yep, i play fps since quake2 came out and i always used mouse2 to go forward....
Yes i tried and the Demo don't let you bind mouse2 to go forward...and i think it wont be possibile in full game either... Sad

^I believe that is against the law. "W" or arrow up (if you are left handed). You might get a fine gettign caught using 2nd mouse button. Yeah, even tho you live in a "free country"

GaX, this game has every character with two weapons. Each mouse button is bound to the corresponding weapon. Try coming out of the dark ages lmao. I've played games a lot earlier than q2 (ok not that much earlier but earlier), and change was hard for me too, but hey, nothing beats WASD.

i tried to use WASD but my binds are really strange Very Happy...

mouse2 = forward
V = backward
S and D =strafe left and right

In games (like this) where i get 2 weapons i usually I use mouse1 for right weapon and F for lfet weapon....

I don't understand why some programmers can't let the player bind every key they want.

Anyways,will get the game to just see how fast i finish it...if i already finished BIOSHOCK 3 times,i can finish this much faster...i guess...

I got to say, I think I'll try that out...a lot of extra keys to bind to be able to quickly hit weapons/items and it feels much more nature and keeps my hand less cramp. I'm sure i won't stick to it since the game industry don't recognize it which cause problems like you mentioned with Jericho. but still got to be open minded. Like programmers where when they stop playing doom looking on the key broad and realize the mouse would be good for that.

Now that was great! How fun being able to switch between the characters. The immersion reminds me of Riddick. This game really made me feel like I was in the game. The breathing was awesome, scared and realistic, especially after climbing down the tube!! Sweet! I kept messing up on the up, up, down sequences laughing!!! It looks like the hardest part will be trying not to shoot your teammates. LOL! The models looked great, I mean, they really looked good. The atmosphere was awesome and thank you for the flashlight! Excellent graphics, they were smooth for me running at 1600x1200 with 2xAA.

Cannot wait for the final release.

Probably the best graphics i've seen, gameplay seems too linear/on rail for my taste..

Someone mentioned Riddick, but i dont see the resemblance except for the dark atmosphere. I doubt it will be as "deep" (e.g friendly NPC's, doing quests or sneaking). It'll be a normal on-rail shooter with good (extremely good even) gfx, not bad if you're into that though. I wish more developers would do "deeper" shooters like Stalker or Riddick..

Laughing Riddick was deep? It was as linear as possible, or like you call it, "on rails." And so what? It was great shooter (one of my all time favorites), and this one seems like it will be such as well.

Well, I meant the immersion of being there. The breathing, climbing and sound. I wasn't talking about the tasks Riddick could do. Jericho really made me feel like I was there.

Perhaps that's why i said "deep", and not deep? Rolling Eyes Riddick was far less "on-ralis" than most shooters. It was fairly interesting to explore, the levels were quite open-ended. Not like Oblivion obviously, but im comparing to other shooters.

This game doesnt seem to involve exploring, its just one linear path, but im just judging from the demo..

Dude Riddick was point A to point B. That's what I call "on rails." It was so much fun because of that. I believe that linear games have more potential to have a good story because everything can be controlled. I loved Riddick very much (like I said, it is an all time favorite), but it was linear.

But if you believe Riddick had open levels, whatever shakes your boat.

i did too, it was a lesser unscripted event, unlike the main one i put in the video, probably happens when certain enemies get too close for too long i think. cant wait to see the other scripted events in the game though! pity you can only see your body during those events and not during the entire game.

News outlet Heise has reported that USK, Germany’s rating system has refused to give Codemasters’ upcoming horror title Clive Barker’s Jericho a rating. From a Google translation of the Heise story, it would seem Jericho will be effectively condemned to the same fate as Crackdown, released earlier this year.

Cannot be sold to minors or via online orders. In addition, cannot be displayed in stores or advertised.

According to Heise, Sony and Microsoft won’t market a game for a console without a USK classification, so it looks as though only the PC version will be available and only to those 18 and over. Given the close proximity of European nations, Germans that really must have Jericho can go to Austria to purchase it.

Jericho is slated for an October 23rd launch in the US on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The game will be eligible for release in Germany October 26th.

just you i hope.

and yeah, i heard germany refusing to cert it... it pretty much means its virtually banned for all intents and purposes... i mean fucking come on... its not like your creating a game where the goal is to murder civilians and shoot police officers and steal cars n shit... your part of a military team killing demons, zombies, undead etc... refusing to give cert to the game is fucking unreasonable at the VERY least, especially given how non-threatening to our 'very fragile ideals' it is, or whatever bullshit...

mind you, this is probably good... it'll force the germans to either pirate or buy from overseas, because if they HAD been able to buy it locally, it would have been censored up the ass, with green blood, and half the gameplay features edited out... what happened to you germany Sad voted the wrong f**king people in, didnt you, and now your stuck taking their shit.
