This is one of the not so many games im waiting for.
Ep1 for me wasnt so good as i hoped.
It's just that i dont like that graffity gun Very Happy..

This wil be more desert alike. It sure looks
very interesting. And the interaction with the
serounding is good.

Ive checked some video's on youtube for
the gameplay. Not so much to see there then
underground locations. Outside locations is
what im so interested in. MAn HL2 was so good
when hovering over the water.
U know what i mean right.

When can we expact this?

Yea...

TF2
Portal
EP2
HL2+EP1

There's definitely zero value here for 45$. *rolls eyes*.

This, if anything, is my last hope (aside from school) to keep me busy until November 6th. Well, maybe the Witcher on the 30th. Nov6 of course, is when Gears PC is out. And that'll keep me until UT3 is out. And UT3 will keep me until.... there's really nothing else I'm looking forward to.

I think I'll be picking this up tomorrow as well. Just too good of a deal to pass by(less than 40usd at some shops), esp for ppl like me who have been relying on steam-rips this whole time. Steam sucks of course and I would have purchased these games Ages ago if not for that fact, but now it seems the price/hassle balance has evened out.

Anyways I figure with the modding community, the source engine has long legs, especially with hdr and such thrown in with the latest eps. Looking forward to trying out many mods that have passed me by and hopefully some kickass new ones(am especially hoping sven co-op for hl2 someday sees the light of day).

Yeah, Steam has come a long way since when it first appeared, and the overlay thing they currently have for games that are not from Steam is great.

It definitely has it's perks and is a great idea but for the fact you need a 3rd party app to run a game that could run by itself is complete nonsense and I think that's what turns a lot of people off. I mean ya it's all gravy to do it in MP but theres no reason you need to use steam to start up a SP game.

Ditto. Call me oldschool, but I like the age-old idea of grabbing a game at a store in a box package, poping it on my puter and playing the damned thing I paid for. Always hoping the server is not down when installing and being paranoid about activation crap(no matter how much reassurance about my privacy, blah blah blah) just gets to me.

It would be cool as an option, or a regular app you don't need to have opened all the time. Just don't like the intrusive nature of it. However, guess that's what all games are heading towards so its either that or become a console-only freak, sadly.. Sad

It´s so fucking stupid that they didn´t fucking release Half-Life 2: Episode Two in a seperate package, people like me who already bought Half-Life 2 and Episode One need to buy them again just to play Episode Two, most fucked up idea ever to pay for games you already bought once, nice to know you support your customers, Valve!

hey this is business. giving a shit for consumers has no place here, so take your complaints elsewhere.

additionally, all contents of the orange box will be sold seperately at outrageously high prices eventually... i mean ffs, team fortress 2 on its own, will cost just $10 LESS than what the entire package costs.. THIS IS MADNESS
