So Tuesday i was at As I Lay Dyings (with Darkest Hour, Maroon and Himsa) last stop on their tour, wich was in stockholm ofcourse!

But the real reason i went was ofcourse because of Darkest Hour!

So lets break it down, in the order of appearence:

Maroon

German vegan harcore! Very Happy These guys know their breakdowns, you cant argue with that. Nice heave sound, pissed off german guy at the mic, who of course sucks at english Wink Crowd was okay-ish, but then again Maroon was first out.

Best part: Wake up in Hell, with the crowd chanting/screaming along.

Himsa

They actually put on the most energetic performance imo.. The singer really showed that he loved what he was doing, full of energy. Stagedives, let the crowd grab the mic (even though no-one can sing) and so on. Real fun to watch.

Best part: The singers energy, and the first stagedive, that the crowd wasnt really prepared for, so he almost hit the floor Razz

Darkest Hour

The main event for me. And boy did they kick ass! Very Happy Professional performance, loved almost every damn song they played. Nice mix of songs from the new album and the previous ones. Some good pit action here too!

Best part: They played fucking "Stand and recieve your judgement"! Good thrashy song, with no real pause in it, i was all over the pit, goddamn Very Happy

As I Lay Dying

When they went on stage i was pretty damn tired after the last Darkest Hour-song, also i was kinda hurt (more on that later). But you could easily tell they had been doing this for a while now, professional performance here aswell, and a damn heavy sound. Watched the show and was happy with it.. Don´t really listen to them anymore, so i aint got much more to say.

Best part: When they played 94 Hours, a old song that i really do like, and now played with a really heavy sound (wich the album version doesnt really have).

So shows great, got what i came for and so on. Now, there was some things that really did suck, more on that in the Bitching Session http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38441

awesome!

Last metal show I was at was The Human Abstract, War of Ages, A Plea for Purging, and a bunch of other bands. The next heavy show I'm going to is Underoath, Poison the Well, Everytime I Die, and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. I'm pretty excited.

LOL! Its the exact opposite man! I always get pissed off seeing americans (Esel here is a prime example Razz) Who only has to travel like 1 mile or less to see 5 awesome kickass bands in one night. While i need to travel for like three damn hours (one way) to see a show like this, wich happens like once every other month..

Oh man, they are amazing. One of my favorite live acts. I've seen them a couple of times in some pretty intimate venues like the coffee house in my college town.
