I found out there is a good chance that THIS demo is the one shown in Germany, which was much worse than the one shown in Tokyo. If thats true it would be awesome.

There was no PC (optimised x360) demo shown in Tokyo at all, only PS3.

But the versions should be identical so the PS3 demo might just be a tad closer to the final version right ?

No, why? It's all about optimisation, maybe Konami specialy Made ps3 handle gfx better, so there is no "lag" & the game looks identical in both replay & actual play modes. X 360, basicaly, is weaker, slower than PS3 & is more Pc-like.

Don't even start all that shit dude, the 360 has a much better GPU, but the PS3 dominates in processing power. Both are well known and nobody gives a fuck anymore.

Wonder when this one will be out for PC, looks promising, though I really have to get my 360 controller back, keyboard + sports = bad.

I am not talkin about what is better or worse as a technical machine, i think Ps3 is Konami's primary console, that's all. They could've just put more time in optimising for it.

Well the thing is that some ppl reported that the version in Tokyo played differently and generally was better so im wondering whether the final version could be better...

Question to PES players, that have played previous versions as well.

Penalties...I hardly touched the player on the foot, he didn't even fall over and the ref gave him a penalty! All though I hate the refs in this game as well as on FIFA, my main question would be about the penalty it self. When the player is standing there about to shoot, the camera is behind the keeper, a bit to the side. When he strikes the ball it becomes the usuall camera...and I have no idea how I am gonna be able to save a ball when the camera changes like that. ANyway to be able to change that in the full game, has it always been like that on PES?

BTW, is there a option to change the control configurations on the demo, or will this only be availible on the full version?

Of course, you can change the control configurations. Launch settings.exe, select keyboard/controller tab, then click on the icon representing the button you want to change.

As for penalties, I also find them to be annoying. As far as I remember, there was a normal camera during penalties in the previous versions of PES.

The penalty cam was behind the shoota in the prev. versions. You can change buttons in settings.exe Smile (i changed it on keyboard only tho so im not sure but shud work for pad too)

EDIT: meh , too slow Razz

Sigh...
Ok even John Carmack have said that the 360 is way easier to develop for and even if the PS3 CPU theoretical performance is higher the performance you get in-game is always better on the 360. The 360's GPU is also clearly more powerful.

There is a compiled comparison list of many multi platform games here:
http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33891817&highlight=360+ps3+multi+platform

I think the PS3 version of PES2008 will have somewhat worse IQ and more fps problems than the 360 version. period.

Latest and greatest...

This pes is just nasty really. When comparing it to other pro evos... its so so different and not in good way. It really does feel like some poor arcadey game.

Yeah it's an SP demo, wouldn't of expected otherwise..

Least you can play again without having to quit out..

New gameplay is growing on me. Hard to re-adjust, particularly hard to get used to the physics changes. Goalkeepers are hard to beat, but the also make more stupid mistakes. Would rather less mistakes/easier..

There's a lot of stuff missing from the demo. People are working to include it with patches but probably have to wait for the full version...

Guys, a small advice: If you have a refresh locker, and you enable VSync in the game, the game speed to a turbo level (that's why I was complaining). Anyway, canceled the Vsync in the game and now games runs great.
