So, has anybody compared the retail to the release version?
I'm still paranoid that Microsoft has pulled a fast one on the modding community. "Region-free" seems to be too convenient for such a hot release, too.

I'm sure microsoft is publishing it all over the world, so there is no need for region codes.
Region locks are only there so you can have a game published by publisher X in the US, and by publisher Y in europe for example.
That way publisher Y can be sure that european people will only buy his halo 3 and not import it from the US from publisher X and thus reduce their profits.
Microsoft doesnt have that problem. No matter where on the world you buy it, it's microsoft that gets the cash.

GoW is much better then this - and out 1 year earlier ! (Single/multi-player, graphics, sound, story, tension, the list goes on).
I would say that H3 is really 6.5/10 at best.

Hmmm wrong forum. That should be in technical. Not too busy to burn an iso but too busy to search?
Open notepad
Type this in it
Layerbreak=1913760
ccclx-halo3.iso
Save and rename to .dvd
May the NFOrce be with you always.

Seeing how the game has been released, has anyone gone onto xbox live yet and played a match? I want to make sure it is safe before i get live this week.

What firmware do you have? Also to play coop multiplayer i think you need to go to the campaign screen and go to network. Change it from local to xbox live and your set.

Finished it yesterday, enjoyed it but would rate it 7.5/10. but i'm comparing to the PC's fps i have played.
Played Halo1 on the pc and enjoyed it aswell years ago, downloaded Halo2 yesterday and sofar i am enjoying thit more than halo3 !! and to be honest i'm suprised how well it looks for a xbox1 game compared to Halo3 for the 360!

Lol go and buy a LCD screen WITH HD function. i can tell you that halo 3 is a lot better graphic wise then halo 2 if you think otherwise you are an idiot. period.
