Its a strange thing, you have one half of people on forums saying WIC has zero game play and calling it trash and then there's the other half saying its the best RTS of all time, you know what I'm thinking? There is 2 completely different games, ones called World in Conflict and the others called World at Conflict and that's where the confusion lies.

Whats the point, you already said its crap like over 10 or so times, what do you want? that ppl that never play it, stay as far away from it as poss? I love it and its totally immersive. If you wanna continue to slag it, please do, but I really dont see the point as we KNOW you find it shite. I dont give a fracking crap if its tactic or what have you...the game is making my day and you guys are just a pain in the arsch with your wining clogging up this thread. Go play CC or somet and get on with it.

But see here no one actually cares what you think because youre comments dont have any facts in them. When you start talking about facts then people will start to care. Who ever said that people are dumb for playing it or that game is shit? Talk here is about something completly diffrent and im sorry if you dont see it.If you dont like what you read there is magic button called Ignore user.

It's a strategy game, that employs mostly tactics. The strategy comes in during unit selection and especially during multiplayer. That being said, Strategy and Tactics aren't that much different.
The single player isn't very challenging though, and the amount of strategy you need isn't really comparable to say something like the Total War series.

Singleplayer is all about the story & less tactical depth since the AI is somewhat weak. Play a LAN game with bots (they are way more challenging then skirmish cause I think they balance it to be more challenging since in a LAN there is suppose to be multiple human opponents) or play online MP & you will truly see that you can't just call in units & pound the humans opponents unless there noobs & dont play as a team. anyway its sums up like this
Singleplayer = story with little tactics
MP = team based gaming with alot more emphasis on tactics plus clan support internaly etc... this is where the game shines

Runs fine on 32 bit Vista. All high average FPS on the benchmark is 30 with the 8800 GTX. |
actually, I think it's cause my card is unclocked atm, I have to re-over clock it for vista.

Ya if I had a job I'd dish out money as well, make a game too hard it makes people stop playing. Kinda like CnC games, those games always give you a level where your limited on your units and can't build a base and you have to do everything precise or you lose. This game is just pure fun. Who cares if it has strat or not.

i dont get when someone says the game has no depth...
yesterday i was playing infantry on the forest maps... awesome. the trees are just far enough away to sprint to, where i would rest before sprinting to the next patch. they give a defense bonus so its an ideal place for an ambush. so i take around 4 anti-armor and 2 anti inf/air, and try to make it to the center. the forest usually gets napalmed and burnt down, but its a blast to avoid it.
and im starting to love paratroopers... they can drop anywhere (not even sure you need LOS but you probably do), they can hide in the forest fairly well and call in artillery strikes for free.

Its not that it has no depth its that we got a few people, who hate it because its not what they want, and they are jealous of all the good reviews, so they post retarded shit like this:

Imagine the time it would take the modders to make it.

Well, people have made insane mods for other games, so it can be done (I know it won't be).

Not saying it can't be done, just saying with that the time it takes to make a mod nowadays, especially TCs, is a lot longer than before. Partially because there is a lack of good talent, partially because games are more complex now than before, and partially because many modders are lazy asses. That's also why many more mods are cancelled nowadays too.

Hehe, I do apologize, no offence meant, its just that I find the game so laughable.

well the hype machine did it again... i read everywhere that this game was the best RTS ever... i disagree... it is a fun game though i give it that...
WAY too short for my liking though, finishing a game in one day is not my idea of fun

the single player is nothing special. this game was hyped for it's multiplayer mode and rightly so.
