Is anyone getting an error when clicking on the video options?

I click the button, it gives a sound then crashes with a floating point error. Im using daemon tools, the cloneCD release and the fix provided with all the emulation options on. The OS is vista, anyone else playing under vista that has been able to change the video options?

Thank god. Thought I was going insane. Installed on two vista machines, error. Click on video options, or try to launch game, crash.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The archive had the "fixed" files in it, but there was a second fix release you have to download. NFO list doesn't have the first fix, so assumed it was packaged with the final fix already.

lol at someone posting this error up on the official forums Razz

I've been playing this for a while, and haven't had any problems. Game has been running great.

I really like this game, it's pretty much exactly what I wanted. Relaxing, very pretty (graphics are not mega-shiny, but very charming) and just fun. Could've gone a bit deeper here and there (though I've not seen everything yet), but still, I'm really enjoying it.

Nope.
This didn't work either.

INstalled the game then the FiX.
I had the same error about the cld.dll file missing.
Added the cld.dll file and it runs.
...until I try to change my graphics settings or start a campaign.

I think I'll give up until an official crack gets released or until it goes retail.

I could try on my other machine too I guess... maybe it has something to do with having the beta installed before? I went through the registry though and removed any references to The Settlers after my uninstall.

Oh well.

Hope I can enjoy it later. Wink

MuFF.

I had the same problem. After copying the fixed DLL i got the message it couldn't find the DLL. I also played the Beta so not sure if that caused the problem. I got it working though; I reinstalled it to the default C directory instead on my D drive (where I normally put games). I also blocked the updater internet connection with my firewall when I started the game. It works perfectly now. Good luck!

The .Net framework?

I'm surprised anyone wouldn't have that.

Currently on mission 5... What i really regret is this dumbed down economy, no more than two buildings to product a good, all have to be put around an only store house, the more remotely you put buildings the more inefficient they are, you also always have to do the same things in order to promote your knights, etc...

Is there no way to build more store houses or trade centres? Seems a bit silly if you can't, there is no point in expanding too far if not.

Maybe there is a way later in the game I don't know about but for now I just sell shit to other towns.

The game just worked for once, when started up a new one its crying all the time for the real DVD.
It seems that the cracked. dll drivers didn't do their 100% work, nothings seems be black listed.

Good option: always attrib your cracked files to read only, but its time to wait for a real cracker.....

I also find this game very relaxing. It's fun to just see how your city goes by.

And the weather changes is pretty nice, specially winter.

Pretty cool game!

If you have built a bow maker -which you can do only after that you knight has reached a specific level- it will produce bows from wood, you just have to build a barracks for bowmen (don't remember the name, the button below the bow maker in the menu) and after a little time -when the number reaches 6- you will be able to spawn bowmen from there.

Firstly you need that bow maker, notice the 9/9 numbers meaning that it has produced 9 bows out of a maximum of 9, it is full of bows.

Secondly you need a bowmen barracks, the 16/18 figure means you can spawn 16 out of a maximum of 18 soldiers (squads are made of 6 soldiers, here you can produce two squads) if you have the money and that you didn't reached the military cap (to see that expand the top left icon with the green bar), then you just have to click the round button with a bowman at the right of the 16/18 numbers. I have got a strange problem with a game. The computer was rebooted when i was playing in Settlers. Later the screen looked like as blue screen (Death Screen). Do you ever have the similiar problem (or the same)? If yes, what will you do? I have heared that if i turn off the music, it will be well, but how play in this game without music???
