We have received the confirmation from Konami that there will be a PC demo version for Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. The file will be released "very soon". So get your boots on, bitches. As soon as the PES 2008 demo is out, you'll find it here!

We will also share our exclusive high speed download-servers with the community in order to ensure that you can download the demo at any time with full speed.

Get some friends then. Me and my buddies have been playing PES together a few times a week since PES 4 was out. Much more fun.

Indeed, so much more meaning if after scoring a screamer, you cheer right into your mates face, rather than down a microphone to someone you'll never know.

Bitter Sweet PES 2008 News

I received confirmation today of information that I had known about for a few days now. It is disappointing for the fans but something I am sure will be rectified next season. PES 2008 will only play as 1 vs. 1 online. Although most fans were hoping for at least a 2 vs. 2 online mode, unfortunately we will probably have to wait until next year for that feature. EA Sports is flaunting FIFA '08's massive online play capabilities that are sure to make it a hit but I believe that Konami will get it right for next year.

On a brighter note, Konami has the exclusive rights to some Swedish clubs that will be filled with place-holders in FIFA '08!!! Shock, Gasp, Horror! FIFA missing out on licenses?! How could this be? Well it seems that the guys at Konami are starting to pull of some shrewd licensing deals that will give EA a taste of their own medicine. C'mon Konami, start saving the pennies for that exclusive Premiership deal in 2010!

...and konami said that in a near future we could play 11vs11 online matches.

Neutral Every major game is a disappointment... One turns out to be a complete port, another is delayed countless times, another has a hyped up demo date that stupid devs can't make, another has its features cut... Sad

It's impossible Pes6 allows 2vs2. I can't think that to be true. I would be a total disaster.

I don't see how HTTP is masochistic, but there you go.

Thanks for the link.
It's not that http is bad, It just goes nowhere with masses of people waiting to leach it. Now with torrent it's just the opposite.

Greets :], So i downloaded this demo and what can i say hmm:
- On Fx56/7900GT/2gs i have mostly 60fps on camera wide, but on replay's is another story, it drops even to 10-15 fps. Sure i we can see all fancy cool loking details like moving pants hehe, nice facial animation etc, but perfomance is shitty...
- running animation is in my opinion joke (but it is my opinion), rather girlish i think
- gameplay is old pees6 with some changes , shooting is harder i think, you need to give it more power, other animation are very nice pulling jumping falling etc, i like it.
- menu is ok. , music is ok.
My problem is i cant change resolution to higher than 1024x768 on fullscrin and 1280x720 on window, and on 1024 on 22'' lcd does't look to nice, could'nt force AA ... maybe it is demo issue only or my pc
I will play more and then give some more details.

The fact that moving animations are a joke was quite obvious from the videos. I'm a guy that enjoys both FIFA and PES for different reasons but mostly plays PES with buddies, and boy, I can say that thing is ugly.

Yeah it is still/ same 8-way gameplay, making some moves is a little bit harder i think because of (i thin) better collision system and animations or this is because i played it only couple of times and i need to get use to it... Ai isn't hard. need more time to check it out
