Im a alien/pred fanboi so i pretty much watch everything related, looks
a bit like an action B-movie,doesnt really matter ill watch, ill like it,enjoyed
the first one as well.More is good for me.Some people need to learn how to turn off the part of the brain that is constantly critical about everything its sees hears, its turning into a disease of these times and enjoy its for what it is.

just finished watching it... liked it... one of the few sequels that werent rushed or cheaply done... unlike some, i didnt think it was an action movie with cash thrown at it to make it over the top, i thought MOST of it was very well handled and perhaps even quite realistic in some respects... yeah, good film...

but it DOES raise 3 very important points

1: never fucking open your door... i dont care who it is, someone knocks, if you didnt invite them or werent expecting them, tell em to fuck off.
2: kids are stupid, universal fact... never trust them to be rational, they should always be locked up and controlled, otherwise youll pay for it...
3: dont be a sucker for kids... that black dude shoulda iced em both at the end the SECOND he knew his friend wasnt coming.

It sucked... end of story.

Shame that the end predicts a sequel, i hope they throw some story into it, because this one had none!

Everyone's infected...now it's OK. Oh, crap, infected again....kill everyone, OK again. Ooops, my mistake, everyone's infected again...geeez

I like the beginning a lot. Every man for himself. Even your loved ones.. Thats human nature.

Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

Well he obviously didn't love her enough.

Knowingly risking your life for a loved one doesn't make you a fool in my book. The guy was just a pussy and/or selfish.

no... risk wasnt an issue, it was certain contamination to take even one step forward. he did the only thing he could... he tried like fuck downstairs to stop them coming in to give the OTHERS a chance to escape, until he lost his crowbar. he had no weapon and he was scared as fuck.. he tried to get her to run to him before the contaminated got into the room, but she ran off like a dopey bitch, looking for the kid. He did all he could, and way more than most would have.

There aren't many situations that have only one outcome, the characters in this film survived more absurd situations then one guy vs a few infected.

If you loved the other person enough you'd take the risk of almost certain death to save them, because life wouldn't be worth living knowing you hadn't done everything you possibly could to save them.

Still, I guess the point is that if your love was mutual your partner wouldn't go running off doing something you didn't value to the same degree i.e. saving that retarded kid.

The only real stupid scene I found was the chopper vs. 50 infected at the end. Although it was a bit funny, it was really fucking stupid. Otherwise this movie contains more logical choices for the characters, there's no "let's go into this dark room" for no reason.

your forgetting the (admittedly slim) hope of seeing his children again... not saying his children were the thing he had in mind when he chose to run, but the point is, he definately had other things than her to live for at that point, and regardless, he DID do everything he could to save her, he fought like a mad fucker down stairs to give them all time to get away... yeah i dont begrudge him for running. had he gone in, he wouldnt have been able to save her... but then again... he wouldnt have been able to condemn an entire fucking city later in the film, then would he Very Happy

Don't get me wrong, I also appreciated his response in the film, it was realistic of how most people would react in that situation. I'm not saying he's a coward either, he was quite brave just to have not run as soon as the infected attacked.

I'm just saying he obviously didn't love the women enough, admittedly relationships where people would sacrifice themselves for their partner are rare, but they do exist.

awesome movie! Very Happy

I say, Alice deserved to die. And I also say, Don loved her. Why? Because, who would kiss an infected woman? I mean, it was so fucking obvious that she's everything else than heatlhy. even for those who didn't see the blood sample. but nooo, let's kiss the goddamn zombie. let's destroy the whole city, just because he wanted a kiss. damn it. well, anyway, i liked that part, especially when he goes mad and spits blood all over the place.. nice zombie. smart zombie. Very Happy

dude, you are forgetting rule number 4:
never ever run upstairs. never ever run upstairs into the closet with no possible way to escape.... just to save that stupid kid.

actually running upstairs is pretty smart... i think its universally smart... its always smarter to go up, because you can usually drop down and bypass whatevers after you... i think its a universal horror fact... if downstairs is swarmed, go up, not into the basement!! (NEVER into the basement, dear god, thats where evil comes from!!) Very Happy

but as we can see in "scream" running upstairs = your certain death. i believe it was the second "scream" where sarah michelle gellar dropped off the roof, just because she ran upstairs!

and you gotta admitt, hiding behind the bed in front of the closet is no good way in bypassing whatever is after you Very Happy

28 "Months" Later is currently in the works \o/

"Days" was incredible, "Weeks" was meh. I think the previous rumors suggested that Boyle wanted to direct this one? If that turns out to be true, I'm hopping on the hype train, otherwise I'm afraid we could get another meh entry.

Naw, it seems like another director is taking over on this one. It seems Boyle is busy trying to get Trainspotting 2 off the ground. And yes, Days was incredible, Weeks was less so.. but I still enjoyed it immensely.

Could be some sort of post apocalyptic scenario, where the infected have all died and society is gone, but the remaining survivors will still face a return. Razz
