Just came out, not too shabby either.

XFX XXX Edition:

Core Clock: 580 MHz
Memory Clock: 1800 MHz

XFX Fatal1ty:
Clock rate: 650 MHz
Memory Clock: 2.0 GHz

Supposed to be hitting our online retailers soon so dunno price yet. But if cheap enough, could be a nice little upgrade, XFX is usualy a bit cheaper than EVGA and just as good quality.

Also note this is now the fastest 8800GTS on the market.

i guess slapping fatality's name on something, gives them an excuse to add another $100 or so bucks onto a product....

my 8800 and my 680i are my first dealings with evga, and so far im happy enough to stick with em next time i need something i think.

ya no doubt, but hey, stock clocks and I doubt they'll be an extra 100 bucks, I'd say it's a decent deal for those who haven't upgraded yet that don't want to go full GTS or GTX. But personally, as you, I've an eVga fanboi. They're based in the states so I know I'll get good customer service when I need help...and I already have.

Yep i think these companies live and die by their rep. which is impacted hugely by customer service. I remember emailing about 20 contacts with Elsa when I had probs with my TNT2 card. Each person told me to email someone else-there wasn't even a phone # to call. Support email was auto-generated response. And yeah, seems like that company really did well in the market. Not.

With eVga I never had a problem but did have many questions when stepping-up and everytime I asked I got a quick to-the-point response. So yeah, will be sticking with the company for a long long time.

Core i7 920 @ 3.8Ghz | 6GB OCZ DDR3 8-8-8-24 @ 1600mhz | eVga x58 Mobo | 2 x eVga GTX 460 SLI | Intel X25-M + 3x Seagate + WD Black = 2.75TB | X-Fi Titanium | PCP&C Silencer 750 | G15 KB | G5 Mouse | G35 Headset | Z-5500 Digital | Samsung T260HD

to be fair, ive also emailed evga AND coolermaster about product info, and neither have bothered to contact me back

so far, the ONLY company ive EVER dealt with, that i could say has 5 star service, is dell... those guys fucking kick ass at tech support, if i ever was going to buy another prebuilt system, it'd be from dell... seriously, ive never had better tech support from any company... ever... well that one time i phoned in for tech support sucked because they forwarded me to india as fucking usual (grrr), but the upshot was that they sent out a replacement 19" monitor at the end of the conversation Very Happy

just yesterday i emailed them for some advice and product info... fuck me, they actually emailed back WITH proper information, not copy/paste shit like ive gotten from evga, thermalright, and everyone else... i almost fell off my chair... a company ACTUALLY responded with detailed information i needed!!

Not a fan of XFX as i had a 6800 ultra xfx card which died on me after 14 months, and i only had a 1 year warranty Sad. I'm sure they have longer warrantys now but I like BFG now with their lifetime warranty.

MY 8800 GTS is at

Core Clock: 580 MHz
Memory Clock: 1700 MHz

so im happy anyway.
