Yep - the crack works will all versions.
BTW - It doesn't directly affect me, but the picture in your sig is pretty callous. It may offend some people. I just don’t think it's cool to make fun of people with disabilities.

im re-downloading the entire dvd (i already downloaded the dvd clone version)...unlimited download bandwith--i could care less. as long as the damn thing works...

Oh no, not the old stealing software nonsense rearing it's ugly head again. Copying isn't stealing. Period. Personally, if it wasn't free I wouldn't buy it so who's the loser? Anyway, my pact with the devil is that if a game holds my attention for long enough to complete it, it's worth buying, so I buy it.
And the fat kid was well funny, since when has fat been a disibility?
Back on topic - so does the game work with the burned DVD in the drive or not? Either way it doesn't seem any improvement on the mini image so why bother?

OK guys here is my how to make your own Sims2 DVD without leeching the Money Version!
1. Create an folder called SIMS2_DVD
2. Copy all files from CD1 into that folder but not the COMPRESSED.ZIP
3. Copy from CD2,3 and 4 TSDATA\CONTROL the files CONTROL1.DAT, CONTROL2.DAT
and CONTROL3.DAT to TSDATA\CONTROL of the new SIMS2_DVD folder. Now u have
CONTROL.DAT fiels.
4. Now copy from CD4 only the **_COMPRESSED.ZIP fiels into the new SIMS2_DVD folder
(14 files) but not the COMPRESSED.ZIP (456MB). Dont copy other files or folders!
5. Now u must open the COMMON_FILELIST.TXT in the SIMS2_DVD folder with Notepad and
erase all entrys and paste the following ones:
1,1,Sims2_uninst.exe
1,1,eauninstall.ico
1,1,TSBin\1.0.0.932
1,1,TSBin\Sims2.exe
1,1,TSData\Res\*.* /s
1,1,TSData\Sys\*.* /s
1,1,Support\*.* /s
1,1,eauninstall.exe
1,1,TSData\Control\control0.dat
1,1,Sims2.ico
1,1,CSBin\1.0.0.932
1,1,CSBin\PackageInstaller.exe
1,1,CSBin\properties.txt
1,1,CSBin\TS2BodyShop.exe
1,1,TSData\Control\control1.dat
1,1,TSData\Control\control2.dat
1,1,TSData\Control\control3.dat
Now save the file!
6. Now decompress the 4 COMPRESSED.ZIP files of the 4CD's with WinZip into an
temp folder like (C:\TEST)
7. After u decompressed the 4 files u see following thing in the temp folder:
- TSBIN (Folder)
- TSDATA (Folder)
- Sims2-UNINST.exe (File)
- eauninstall.ico (File)
8. Move the Sims2-UNINST.exe and the eauninstall.ico into the Mainfolder of the
SIMS2_DVD.
9. Now move the folder TSBIN from temp folder to the SIMS2_DVD folder.
10. Now move the folder TSDATA from temp folder to the SIMS2_DVD folder.
11. If u done it all right u must have 7 Folders and 39 Files in the New
SIMS2_DVD folder.
13. Now Burn all files (2.999.496.773 Bytes) of the SIMS2_DVD on an DVD!
The DVD must called "SIMS2_DVD"
It works very well for me!

the crack work as FIXED EXE with the alcohol clone 4cd version need cd 1 in drive
The crack will NOT work with an other DVD version as the money release
FOUND THIS INFO ON GCW

Ok folks, I'm here to set this straight. First off I should mention I have a copy of both the International CD and DVD, and the US release on DVD only (don't ask why.. I just do ). I've tested this out with both versions, and from what I can tell this is why it works...but doesn't:
1) This crack works perfectly.. and I mean perfectly with the International version. You can tell which one you have because when you installed the game it asked you what language to use, and there would be a list of about 15 or so different languages to choose from. Also, on the CD/DVD will be a list of 15 *_filelist.txt files.
2) This crack DOES NOT work with the US DVD, and I have to assume the CD release as well (however I will test this with my friends disc later today). Again, you can tell due to the language list. The US release will have only 2 languages to choose from, and will have 3 *_filelist.txt files on the DVD.
Now before you flame me, read on: You see, in their haste to put this crack out Money forgot to remove 1, simple, little, check.. and that check being the one for the *.TMP files. (Money.. I commend you on getting this crack out.. superb work.. but you need to fix this issue before I give you a 10 outta 10) Why is this such a big deal? Well, the US release doesn't have a 00000002.TMP file, only the International release does (again, since I only have the US DVD I can't say 100% that this the case for the CD version). The US release only has the 00000001.TMP, which is sized at 20mb vs the 2kb size of the Inernation release.
I've tested this over and over again by redoing a backup with and without that file, and as soon as I add the 00000002.TMP file from the International release CDs/DVD to the US DVD backup it works without a hitch. If I remove that file it refuses to run, and gives me an error telling me to insert the correct CD/DVD.
For all those that say they can not get this crack to work, and to those that have it working please post what version you have: International or US. Again, you can tell by checking the CD/DVD for the *_filelist.txt files (15 for International and 3 for US), and whether or not you have it working. I bet you'd find that the ones that have luck getting it to work are the ones using the International version of the game.

is it possible to change the languages of the game ?
i saw a directory called "german" on the sims dvd but i dont know how to switch to german language
can anyone help me please ?

To change the install language, open with the notepad the file autorun.cfg situated in the "autorun" folder on the root of the dvd.
Then you can change some values...
(for example)To enable german language:
Search the line called: German=0 and change 0 to 1
Search the line called: NumLanguages=2 and change 2 to 3
Save the file, burn the dvd (or mount it), and install.

High, by each launching the game, their go direct to internet explorer and activat the option in "connection" NEVER ETABLISH CONNECTION, so after my daughter have played, i need to go iExplorer and reactivate the option
" all time use as default connection"
Someone have the same prob, with sims 2 and connection? or i am alone,
Is not a request, just a question.
no crack used, multilingual 4 cd version.

Hi, Pyrot, i have search to change the in game language but not found the config file *.cfg, or *.ini, or*.?, and is not in registry so make a own file search or change the "install" language this is the simplest solution and work fine just
(open with the notepad the file autorun.cfg situated in the "autorun" folder on the dvd image.)
change your language from 0 to 1 and change the NumLanguages=2 to NumLanguages=3
reinstall the game in your language, have fun.

Yeah,
Sorry if I explained badly before, but in fact I was saying that you have to modify the file "autorun.cfg" that is situated in the autorun folder IN the dvd (so, it's in the dvd image file, you have to edit it with ultra iso for example).
Open autorun.cfg with the notepad, and search and modify the lines I wrote in my previous post.
Then save the file, and save the dvd image file.
Burn it or mount it with daemon tools and install.
It works with all the languages.

Found US DVD version Fixed.exe on emule make a search under "Sims2-US.DvD.Fixed-exe.rar" tested work fine on us version. hope can help someone.

rsca, no trouble with money release, trouble with game and you need an coming soon update from EAgamez probably you have the error message by playing the game FATAL ERROR, this error is know by EAGames, this error appear on some different configuration i have 4 computers and the error appear on one from theire's. sorry for bad english hope you anderstand what i would say.

I have the original game on cd's
I converted the cd's to a dvd like it was explained in an earlier post
I installed the game but the money crack didn't work
I made a clonecd image of cd 1 with ultraiso and mounted it with virtual clone drive
and it worked without having to put the original disk in a drive
if you leave the cd mounted you can play with the original exe without a cd
maybe this also works for the clonecd version of the game
