Hi, I just bought a 360 premium. Luckily it has a samsung drive and i have a "few" questions for you 1- I'd like to put the iextreme firmware on it. Is there a way to open the box without cancelling the warranty ? (better have it with the amount of RLOD lately) I read there's a M$ sticker which has to be removed to open the damn thing 2- I guess I'll have to open my box every time I need to update the firmware. Is the Xecuter Blaster360 working nicely ? 3- The other thing I mentionned is the revision of the dashboard / kernel : D:2.0.2858.0 - K:2.0.2858.0 (BK:2.0.1888.0) Does the iextreme firmware (latest 1.2) work with every dashboard / kernel ? Do the latest games (originals) need an updated kernel, or will it work out of the box ? (like the psp for instance) 4- The last question is regarding xbox live. When I bought the box, I got a 12 month account for free. I did not put it online yet (Im saving it for PES 2008 =) ) Is there a category of people who installed the iextreme firmware, and did not got banned ? about warranty.. i bricked my xbox 360 some time ago while doing the VCC method sent it to MS and they fixed it and sent it back to me including a new wireless controller cuz it took them longer to fix it than they said it will.. they said 2 weeks it took them 3 1/2 weeks the box had marks on it when i was opening it and i even forgot to put one of the screws back in and they still fixed it without asking any questions.. even the hacked firmware was still on the xbox when i sent it .. so if you do screw up your warranty there is a good chance they will still fix it but if you want to make it look as if you didn't open it at all then you gotta be very careful when opening it not to make any scratches and take the MS sticker down very carefully.. it's possible to open it without them noticing it.. the hardest part is the screws inside the box where you have to use a special tool so you dont leave any marks on them..

1. Use a warm tool to losen the glue on the sticker. Mine just came off without anything as the glue was so damn dry. 2. I wouldn't recommend the Blaster360, waste of money. Instead, buy yourself a s-ata extension, a s-ata cable, and make a whole in the grating on your 360. That way you can just remove the front, the HDD, and one of the gratings to flash. 3. iXtreme works with at least the Fall and Spring update. Yes, you need the latest update to play the latest games. Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards Bravery is not a function of firepower.

Parallax, would you update before or after flashing the firwmare ? Maybe after would be better ? damn, first xbox was so easy to open too bad theres so many RLOD thanks again

You don't really need the unlocking tool to open the 360, although it is handy. Just make sure you have a good screwdriver and a couple of clips, should do the job just fine. Run the update first, then flash the firmware. Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards Bravery is not a function of firepower.

dammit, i cannot open my case. no problem for the face plate i removed both lateral parts easily i cannot remove the rear i dont have the special tool or the spindle plastic thing any help on how opening it ? thanks

I finally succeeded opening it I bought the team executer tool damn, that was hard so its not a boy nor a girl but a samsung (knew it already) MS28 tomorrow, Ill change the firmware Im planning to install the 1.2c quiet version with iprep is it a good idea ? thanks
