I'm thinking about pre-ordering a copy today. WiC has to be one of the best games i've played this year (so far atleast)

Not sold just yet here....too much competition out there dividing up my time and money these coming monthes. And after the DRM debacle with Bioshock, I am alot less willing to pre-order pc games(although I am glad to hear no online activation BS with this one). So gonna see how it goes.

Gamestar.de gave it 89% with the the 2 noticeable problems beeing the some strange AI behavior and the relatively short single player campaign (about 12 hours).
Other than that it seems the game is almost perfect. No complaints about the multiplayer mode as far as I can tell.
Looks good!

To start the "where is the release and where can I download it?" debate:
I can't believe that there is no release yet, because quite a few people got the real retail version of the game already. Even a clone would do the job. Usually the scene guys are the first to have it...

Think that's the trainer he mentioned.
It's a good site and they are quite skilled but the downside is that one would need to subscribe and pay 15$ a year or a one time fee of 25$ to get access without the waiting period.
And ofcourse there's other groups whom releases trainers and such for those who need them.
(Hopefully it only works in singleplayer.)

Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

Yeah I noticed that date, it's because they set the upcomming releases in weekly schedules for non-members, there's also a promo trainer on GameCopyWorld should one need it but as it's a promo trainer it only features one of the options.
Still only a few persons have the game and so far there isn't even a homemade clone available but I suppose it will be released via the "proper" channels in a few days.
(Don't play RTS games that often but they can be quite fun, don't know that much about this particular title though but I'll just watch the trailers and read the available previews/reviews.)
EDIT: That's also true, unless they have a strong anti-cheat solution for multiplayer the game will probably be hacked though it could also take a while before that happens.

I'm looking for a game that will keep me entertained for a while, is this worth the purchase if you're going to play it online? I'm not going to DL the demo because I'm almost over my download limit this month (ugh...).
