Actually using Ccleaner for system and RegSupreme Pro (not latest version) for registry.
I was thinking of changing the latter and start using some freeware/opensource one instead, any valid suggestion ?

I don't know - anything with hair-cleaning products in it is not going anywhere near my registry.

Ive used various reg cleaners/optimisers and i'm dubious as to the fact they actually do ANYTHING at all to the reg... but heres what i'm using atm (not freeware)

Uhm ... thanks to all friends for your posts ...
@ exon : do u never use them ? for fear of reg damage ? i have never had problems using some moderate reg cleaning (i usually run them with the most "soft" settings), together with some sytem cleaners and a couple of anti malware i usually never reach the point of having to re-format a machine (my 1st pc at home, where i dl and try a lot of progs, is exactly 4 years now, 0 re-formats and still more than usable).
@ reg67 : uhm well maybe they don't make exceptional things, however they seem at least to remove unused key here and there ... i've experienced computers nearly unable to run get resurrected after using some system/reg cleaners and a couple of anti malware ... yes of course i cannot be sure of the percentage of the single "remedies" ... umpf well however they shouldn't do anything bad (always backing up things and using not excessive settings), at least nothing
@ $en$i : to tell the truth i was thinking of switching to opensource/freeware reg cleaners because i was kinda tired to have every month or so, since i wanna regulary update all the main softs i use, to go searching and try out cracked versions, at least for the programs where the difference between a commercial one can be little (for example i find ccleaner very nice as a system cleaner). obviously if i won't find anything i'll ehm "update" the one i use (regsupreme pro) or try out one of the kindly suggested
@ mortibus : lol don't worry i know some ways to find that "all freeware" stuff
