Had great fun watching this one really recommanded. Sydney Poitier gave a very sexy preformance and its really hard for me to get over that atm. some might think the ending is poor but i thought it was brilliant. great script great soundtrack great actors.

I think Tarantino as a movie director is finished, Grindhouse was probably one of the worst films I ever saw... and that's in the B-film genre.
He hasn't done anything good since Pulp Fiction, and he's blessed with having these famous actors lining up for him... well, mostly actors who no longer can get any main character in any other movie... but still.
I also think fisk should be unbanned.

meh, personally i found i quite liked kill bill when i first saw it... but then i realised it wasnt really that good.. i think the trailer, and the WANT to like it, made me like it more than i did... what im saying, is if i had the choice between sitting down an watching pulp fiction for the 30th time, or kill bill for the 4th... id watch pulp fiction.
if i had a choice of watching resident evil for the 4th time, or kill bill for the 4th time... id sit down and watch resident evil...
if i had a choice of watching the mummy returns for the 20th time, or kill bill for the 4th time... id sit down and watch the mummy returns...
if i had a choice of watching snatch for the 14th time, or kill bill for the 4th time... id sit down and watch snatch...
if i had a choice of watching superman returns for the 3rd time, or kill bill for the 4th time... id... well yeah ok id much rather watch kill bill...
point is, its not a gee wow great amazing film... its a good film, but really... do you think its of the same calibre as his earlier films? do you think it even comes close? if pulp was a 10, reservoir would be a 9, kill bill would be a 6 i think... still a good film, so i disagree that he hasnt done anything good since pulp, but i definately wouldnt count it as a really great film...
and id have to watch jackie brown again to say how much i liked it, or didnt like it... ive seen it once and i didnt feel any desire to see it again... maybe i was too young at the time, or maybe its because i dislike Pam Grier, i dunno.. ill see it again eventually im sure, then re-evaluate my position on it...

He's got the Wachowski sindrome. He makes a good movie on a low budget ttt cuase he aash has to be creative i n n susing using the cunds.. fund..s. But hwne he ahas a lot o fmoney he does the shots he wants without being VERRRRY ccfreativ. so there's really nothig in his movies except for the dddialogue.
I remember watchng escoie dogs... and i don't remember if they hsowed us the bank robbery or not but with the dialogue it was like after seeing the movie you can be leeike tat bank ovvvery was awsum! Even though they didnt show it.
T-Dog has a way with dialogue but he can't direct much. NBK and TR were directed by pros (well not TR) bt hey were more entertaining than anything he directed. Pro directors with money know how to use it and how to make an entertaining fi;m. Tarantino ust goe overboard to hosw off. My opinion is he should write and hire proppppppper directors to direct his movies Rodriguezeses movie was loads better than tarantinos. Eeen though the script sucked

While I think Jackie Brown has some merits (I don't think Quentin has become all-incompetent) I think it's got little going for it in terms of narrative, it becomes rather boring quickly because it doesn't have as strong characters making you interested in the story. The dialogue is also not nearly as spot on as in Pulp Fiction, and the movie in general lacks a lot of Samuel L. Jackson.
It's a 6/10 because it's rather dull.

Kill Bill one and two, I don't see as good movies. I see them as a ways for a guy who have dreams to realise them. I think a lot of people might share the "whoop sword weilding and hot ladies in tight suits", and I give it some merit in terms of how he actually has built up the pace once more.
The problem with Kill Bill 1&2 is that it's a rather predictible movie, he basically tells the whole 2 movies in the first 40 minutes making it a long wait, where your entertainment isn't the "Hmm... what's going to happen next?" but rather "let's see how she kills this guy", or "wow! Cool gore effects and nice sword fighting". These aren't components of a well made story imo (though I do think that the vengeance theme is a good one).
It's just not as clever as Pulp or Reservoir Dogs, and I think he's not hungry enough to do one of those movies. You know?

I dont get what is so stylish about those women blabbing for the better half of the movie, about absolutly nothing. I actually started skipping some of it because, it was not doing anything for the movie, not moving the plot forward, or revealing some plot details (if there were any), it was just them talking about what TV shows they like and "should we take guys with us". I dont know if it was me, but from the early trailers i thought it was going to be a balls out action movie, or at least some action, this was sure aint it. And i liked Tarantino's earlier works (pulp fiction, reservoir dogs, even from dusk till dawn and kill bill, though those movies were very different from eachother, they were still very good or at least entertaining). Well it is my personal opinion, but i really didnt like it. Just want to see planet terror now, see if its any better, or another just talk for hours and one action scene.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

The main concept of grindhouse like other grindhouses before are to show two movies one for the guys and the other for the ladies

It's a class movie, just like the rest of his films (bar maybe Jackie Brown, which is "above avarage").
