Now, I have uninstalled and reinstalled to different directories 2 different times.
Same problem. Any ideas? |
U dont have Securom installed. First install the bioshock demo and then the cracked release!

Somebody said that because LOLCATS release does not install Securom.

point is, it always amazes me that people complain about how shit doesnt work because they think they know shit and dont bother to read the nfo. it explains quite clearly what to do to get it going... the lolcats release works just fine on a computer thats never had anything bioshock related previously installed.

Already been said, but just once more; using ONEHiTWONDER and Darkcoder's crack, the game works without the latest Securom.
I made a backup image of Vista, then installed the game and played away. Then I restored Vista from that image I made prior to installing Bioshock and only merged the .reg file.
Worked first time.

Hi! Well i have a stupid problem, if i save the game and then load, the game crash! I have tried with ONEHiTWONDER and LOLCATS rls and its the same!
Anyone have this same problem? solution?

i installed the lolcats ver and when i try to run it i got this massage
"the application has fail to start becuse it's side by side configuration is incorrect.pls see the application log"
i'm using vista 32 bit wit e6750 2g ram x1950pro and latest drivers
any one got this error?
i was trying the other ver but coud'nt finish the instalation

no. your the only person on the planet that has that error  guess its a program problem and you should ask 2k for some tech support, or just uninstall the game and forget about it...

dude, run the vcfredist or something in a folder on the bioshock disc... you're missing the visual basic ++2005 drivers.. then you can start the game with no problemo

you watch it... he'll come back and say run the what where? how do i run a program... where am i... what was the question again?
i mean it even TELLS you to do that in the install instructions...
...and this has nothing to do with being smart or being a know-it-all... its about being able to use some slight degree of common sense, and follow a reaaaallly simple step-by-step list of things to do... dont they teach you how to do that kind of stuff in kindergarden?

Well here comes my problem...
bioshock work well for a week i really enjoyed it but suddenly i got C2D and from then
i can't enter the game anymore BIOSHOCK.EXE Error....tried to reinstall nothing helped
using the onehitwonder release + the famous crack...
i guess that's it....no more bioshock for me....

hey bioshock runs fine on my vista 32bit with asus p5k but no audio in game in video and in menu there is but not in the game i was tring to play with the audio menu but no luck.
my audio is realtek.
any one got a clue what can i do?

Well thats what happens when you use onboard cheap crap audio. Buy standalone card. Thats the best solution.

My mainboard is a eVGA 680i board which certainly hasnt been cheap and uses realtek as the onboard sound card and bioshock works just fine...

I had same issiue and setting bioshock.exe compatability mode to Win XP SP2 worked!

This board isnt cheap but sound chip on it is POS. You do know that that board is made by Nvidia and only has sticker EVGA and costs 30% more because of it? Onboard audio usess 10% - 20% of youre cpu power, sounds like shit and baseicly only use for it is to listen to windows sounds.

If i were you i would make new installation of windows, dual boot, and then try if it works. If it does then youre old windows are a mess and you should format. If it doesnt work then you did something wrong. I only used ONEHiTWONDER release and crack. I saw that many people had problems with lolcats rel. Well anyway its up to you.You wont loose much by not playing it i can tell you that.
