The only MOH's i really, truly enjoyed were MOH1 and MOH2 underground on PS1, they were freaking great, especially at the time. I especially liked the sneaky, tactical missions, and bike rampage, those were good.

idd moh 1 and 2 etc were superb on the old PS1, lost many school grades to those Very Happy the train yard infiltrate mission was amazing.

Guess another example of how EA ruins games.

It looks beautiful from afar (when jumping from the plane), but if you get close enough the textures look washed up and not that impressive (everything is on HIGH) though i never have time to look at them as the firefights are frantic and the enemies are relentless. Today i got to the 4th mission (i think, its right after market garden), i went inside some building to blow up tanks, went inside some house to shoot some nazis. It looked like i cleared the room, turned around and immidiatly a red blimp on the radar appeared right behind me, i killed him, turned around and it happend again, and again, i just got tired of shooting that one respawning dude and ran away from there, i mean they should mask the respawning a bit, not be blatant like that.

I enjoyed the game, not really any complaints apart from its short length of time to complete.
Doesn't beat CoD for the atmosphere and intesity though.

Played for it for free anyway so I can't complain.

Enjoyed it (inspite of respawning enemies) alot until the ELITE-NAZIS-WITH-POLISHED-MEDALS-AND-MINIGUNS-FROM-HELL started appearing.

That was such a fucktard way to end an otherwise entertaining and somewhat historically accurate game.

Thats true... like someone else said. Fuck up a non-fiction game with the ending à la Wolfenstein.

Theres no way someone can stand and shoot with a MG34 and be accurate and not fall on his ass

From personal experience, MG with barrel = MG34

And yes you can stand and fire a MG34, but you wont hit what you aim at. MG42/34 are higly powerfull and thats the reason why they need a bipod or a stand.

And if it was infact a MG42...well theres no way he can walk and shoot like he do...unless he has the shape of the heavy gunner in Team Fortress Very Happy

We can debate on that all night, doesnt stop the fact that Wolfenstein style dont have his place in this game

lol its an mg42, the loading screen says so, and it looks like one. and its obviously not supposed to be realistic since it takes like 5 buckshots pointblank to kill him

You're forgetting that MG42 has close to twice the cyclic rate of the MG34. That, plus the fact that both guns weighted roughly the same, I doubt you could handle an MG42 standing upright.
We're talking about a gun that fires 8mm rifle rounds 25 times each second. That's two and a half times the speed of an M16, and the bullet itself is immensly more powerful. And you can't really fire an M16 fully-automatically from the hip and hope to hit anything, can you?

Yeah those last two troopers (Panzer, MG42) where quite different from the usual troops encountered.

Takes a massive amount of bullets to kill even with the shotgun unless you shoot them point-blank in the head and even then it requires two hits with the buckshot upgrade due to what I suppose is hidden armor under that uniform
(They don't bleed when hit.) and that MG42 machinegun can really hurt if they start hitting with it.
(Fires fast as hell as well, wish I could pick it up myself but it seems rather difficult to use.)

They look quite cool though but it does reming me of the later enemies in Wolfenstein.
(Atleast the panzershreck/panzerfaust wielding enemies were somewhat realistic aside from wielding a rocket launcher exclusively.)

On a side note I wonder how the game would play with a AGEIA card since it uses it for the game physics and as seen above the backup software solution isn't that accurate.
(Enemy died like that as well, completely stiff.)

Actually that's what I notice the most when playing the game, one of the arms on the character usually gets stuck on a nearby item like a box or a sandbag and stretches out quite a bit before PhysX kicks in and repositions the arm somewhat properly.

This isn't my own screen but it's more or less how it looks like.
(Only takes a few seconds before the problem corrects itself but it happens in every PhysX game when you don't have the proper hardware.)
(EDIT: Such as the flying critters in Gothic 3 and Two Worlds to name some examples.)

Ofcourse as the UE3 engine supports PhysX natively unless the developer disables it and uses Havok or similar we will probably see this problem quite a few times in upcomming UE3 titles.
(Based on a recent interview Stranglehold actually uses the new Havok 5.0 but I'm unsure about GoW and UT3.)

EDIT: Not to say that Havok is perfect either but it's still a damn good physics solution though as demonstrated in a few titles such as Bioshock it requires some work or there might be side issues like the enemies flailing around after getting killed. (There's even a few music videos on Youtube about it but it's usually pretty minor stuff like one of the hands on a recently killed splicer moving back and forth waving at you.)

EDIT: Also, I didn't notice this ingame but looking at the last screen I posted the lack of AA is quite apparent, even in higher resolutions like 1920x1200.
(This current computer can't do proper AA together with titles that uses defered shading/lighting like the NV 8x00 and ATI 1x00/2x00 can, and since it's only a 7800GTX there's nothing I can do about it.)

They don't need to disable it, they just need to not use it or install another system, as the physics system is modular in design. I of course prefer Havok, however it is not perfect either. Just play the Stranglehold demo and you will notice Tequila's legs and arms are getting mixed into objects when you go near them or kick them. Ageia comes with no additional charge for licensees, but developers are free to go with another option, such as Havok. There isn't anything wrong with Ageia's physics API, just the hardware counterpart.

GoW and UT3 are both using Ageia.
