I agree, I wouldn't exactly classify Mortal kombat as childish either, considering the violence involved. Also, some fighting games require strategy, and can be quite complex, especially when fighting another human opponent.
Easy to play, difficult to master. Nothing childish about it.

omg... why does this game suck so much... i mean... what kinda AI is that? the computer is cheating like hell... if a high difficulty means the computer gets out a 15 hit combo when you release the block button than mortal kombat is successful... stupid piece of shit of a game.......

U need to burn it either with decrypter or Alcohol.If you burn it with Nero,you'll end up with a non-working copy...
(this goes for both xbox and ps2 rls)

ok, thats complete bullshit....
I burned the game with nero and it worked fine on my PAL xbox without changing anything in the settings, no NTSC mode whatsoever...
p.s. yes, everything worked, including chess puzzle and konquest.

change your xbox mode to pal 60hz in the msdashboard under video settings
