It does not work because they update and tweak the beta all the time. But because you have the game on DVD-R and not on your HDD it cannot edit anything.

So I burned the demo to a dvd and can access it from the DEMO BLADE but when I hit launch it doesnt do anything... I understand that its a problem with updates or FW or something of the sort but if I copy to my HDD via XSATA will I be able to launch the game without having a beta invite? I would test myself but I am still at work..

Its not just Uk its EUROPE, just sign up for membership at eurogamer then head over to http://gamers.eurogamer.net/ sign in and scroll down to the giveaway section on the right you can get your beta code their all you do is type your xbox live username and it gives it to you, then head over to http://www.cod4beta.co.uk/default.aspx and put your code in you will then get an email telling you when the beta starts you will get your xbox live code to download it which is the Monday the 10th, Eurogamer has shit loads of keys left over 11000.
