hey whered that plasmid/weapons thread go... did it get merged or deleted or did i just go blind from too much mast..ering control of my school studies...

jsut got the telekenesis plasmid... didnt think it would be available so early in the game... still havent run into any big dudes though i expect it'll happen soon... atleast i can finally move forward and play the game, after trying for a day and a half to get aa going... weeeeeeee

Wonder if anyone has came up with a deadly bee combo yet??

I am most def going to try that wrench combo suggested on page 2. Maybe after the first play through ill try pulling a Gordon Freeman the entire game.

If you want to utilise the full "track" for wrench related tonics you could also add Bloodlust wich makes you regain health everytime you hit someone with the wrench.

It's also possible to use the tonic wich makes the wrench freeze foes but be aware it's impossible to loot shattered enemies.

Static Discharge also works quite well and if both of them are stacked you have a pretty effective shield, just be sure there are no "Big Daddies" in the vicinity whe that thing triggers. Laughing
(Booze hound was also quite effective as alchohol no longer drains eve and instead regenerates it, there's alot of alcoholic bewerages in Rapture as well if you can handle the "drunkness effect".

Both of the photographers eye research tonics are also effective when you want to get all the bonuses from specific splicer, daddies, bots or even little sisters as the later stages can take a while to research without those two equiped. Smile
(The damage bonuses and special tonics can be quite effective.)

That's some strategies that might work but there's alot of tonics and plasmids together with the standard weapons and those can also be upgraded so the game is quite versatile in how you handle those splicers.

Well playing this game for the second time and writing the story for you all that just gun-run this game :
So that German *she*doctor started all that madness , she gave*made* the atom from that sea slug that bite that sailor*in sub-marine bay* and then mutated it to be in the stomach of a host that he could filter the atom*those enzymes that regenerate dead flesh , and other scientists used it to create tumors in the human brain , manipulate them to create a stronger race* . But she needed Hosts , Ryan kidnapped children for her *in one bar-hotel you get the evidence about this* to turn them into little sisters *he called it that market is like a patient that some times needs to be cured against his own will*. But Fortuna made another thing *some say it thats why people like him more* he opened a shelter for the homeless that paid poor family's for they children - that way he had more atom and with it and the homeless he created the splicers to fight Ryan for the control of the city . But Ryan made the same , he used that crazy doctor *first boss fight* to overdose the patients*and all the other people that worked for him* and make his own army . At that time there was a political battle who should control what section ATLAS , RYAN or FORTUNA ......


thats all for now when i get more i write more about the game story , now i am in Arcadia *playing this the second time piecing the story from the tapes i found and the ghosts i see* the first time it was just on easy and there where plot holes but when you play on Hard *like i play now* you get to know the hole story from the new tapes that can only be found when you play on this difficulty

Ok so I discovered people who said this game was short was because they 1) Were playing it on easy, 2) just ran through the whole game.

I still haven't beaten the game. These levels are fucking huge with a lot of secret areas to find.

Ditto i'm no where near the end, i try take on all Big Daddie's regardless of Little Sister's appearance, i try to explore every corridor, room an corner i come to, this game is simply too good to just race through it,

It would have been really cool if they made all of the news papers readable. Like they don't have to be required to read to get the full story but you'd be able to read through events and see the good n bad news as days progess in pature etc.

Exactly. I'm taking my time with the game, listening to every thing.

And the map is very useful at finding hidden spots with great bonuses. Wink

I thought the map was...a bit too revealing. It should only show the corridors your going to need for the quest and so forth, leave the rest invisible until you have walked in there then it will show up on the map the stairs and where they lead to etc. Would have left for better exploration. People would see theres areas not on the map then want to go see what that area leads to, there are areas on the map, stairs etc that aren't on the map but not a whole lot.

Yeah, but I hate walking in same corridors over and over because I don't spot the small ventilation vent that I have to go through to find that goodie (in general, not a scene from BShock). I look at the map when I feel I'm getting tired at running in the same place over and over (doesn't happen often, game has great design).

but that Arcadia map i must say is pretty fracked up

Anyway found some thing that lifts other plot holes , that ghost you see in the game AREN`T ghosts , Atom is the filtered blood enzymes that regenerate the flesh that are stored in the body of living things but those enzymes not only regenerate they also carry the memories of the hosts , The more you are spliced UP *more ability's slots* the more Ghost *memories from other people* you see

so the more splice up you are the more story you get from other memories from other people - nice feature

Yeah, it's in one of the British engineers audio diaries. There are fragments of genetic memory left in the stem cells, the 'ghost' phenomenon only started occurring when they got desperate and began extracting Adam from dead bodies.

I dunno, BioShock is very atmospheric but extremely repetetive in terms of gameplay (shock/hit or burn/hit or send swarm/hit).

I wish there was more focus on the exploration/mysteries part of the game and the combat was secondary - because I find the combat outright boring.

But the atmosphere, music, and sheer detail is awesome. Very original game.


I also think fisk should be unbanned.

how far are you? the further you get the less some of your normal stratagies work. Theres electric Houdini's who are immune to the shock and the same with the freeze and incenerate.

Anybody know where can i find all mottos that appear in the game? Like in the begining (in the light house) we can see "No Gods or kings, only Man", little further is another smth with chain (where there is a monument of hand holding chain.
