Have 4 gigs of ram installed on windows vista 32-bit 4 1 gig sticks of kingston value ram on AMD ASUS M2N32-SLIDELUXE Motherboard in the bios it shows the correct value of ram at 4096 megabytes but on windows vista only showing 3582 megabytes is there a fix for this problen or am i going to have to wait for SP1 for vista that is going to be released in January of 2008 Confused

has to do with 32 bit limitation , 64 bit fixes this

only 64bit systems can have 4 gigs and beyond

i think you're supposed to throw a bios switch to allow that 4G to be used aswell(?)
which in turn wont allow a 32bit OS to work
