yeah, I tried running R6:V without AA to increase performance (I'm kinda borderline getting decent FPS @ 1024x768) and it was crap. I'm pretty far from a graphics whore as well, it's just the difference in some games is unbelievable. Hopefully Bioshock will run well for me with AA on, or hey, maybe the jaggies won't be as noticable .. in the screenshots a few posts up the difference between aa and no-aa doesn't seem that big to me, just on a couple of the objects ....

Don't worry, Nouse, Vegas is a pos. It even hiccups on my 8800GTX. BioShock and MOHA run flawlessly.

So, anyone having problems with the LOLCATS rls? I'm thinking of DLing that one, as it seems less of a fuss to install and run. Also, what's the "VS redist" that you need to install alongside?

LOLCATS works 100% totally perfect.

No patching.....no moving nuttin around. No serial screen. Installed via Daemon, then unmounted. Plays fine w/o disc [emu].

So far, after 2 hours of gameplay........ still no issues.

good to know, lolcats it is ... it's all over usenet as well Wink

Since the LOLCATS release comes with the exe pre-cracked, does this mean installing future BioShock updates will fail, because the exe file will be incorrect?

Cheers, not saying you should use that trainer, but the other 2 are GO by me Wink
Anyone using VISTA, start the trainer AFTER the game(this goes for all OS) (alt/tab) and right click "Run as Administrator"

Vista was a total POS at release but I have fully migrated to it now and I have 0 problems with it tbh. The only caveat being that you do need a very current rig to run it properly. With that exception, it works perfectly and I cant see myself going back to XP. Vista's memory and disk handling are so far superior (among other things). there is just no substitute.

i have some kind of question here:

I have bought the game last week when it came out. Since i'm against the DRM sh!t and stuff i'm gonna uninstall my game when they bring that revoke tool. ( to set my counter back to 0 ) ( when something get broken down u lose 1 activation and i dont like that etc... ).

So i have the original DVD of biochock so there is no point for me in d/l a realse right?

The only thing i want is to (un)install the game whenever i want to even if something get broken of my hardware. So the only thing i need is that crackfix in order to save up my original key ?
Cause when i d/l i release i will have the same data as on my original disc right?

Do i get it right?

Nope, sorry, I have got a top end rig, and I over time I have given Vista a right good road test, in fact I was a Vista fan boy when I first started but the more you have it the more you come to realize up to the presant date Vista is flawed, bloated and broken in many ways worse than XP on release, and therefore I have returned to my trusted XP where I will remain till, if ever they fix Vista and makes it out of beta 1

Can't agree with you. I have 0 issues with Vista. XP is great though, just starting to show its age.

K. I'll try here.

I got the Lolcat iso. Installed with newest daemon tools.

Found the scenepwoned.crac (or bypass).
Moved the proper files over from the crack overwritting old ones.

ran the .reg file.

run the game and it gives me an instant error saying 'This program can not run because it is not configured properly. IUninstalling and reinstalling my fix the probelm (paraphrased)."

Uninstalled and reinstalld 2x now to 2 different directories. Same problem. Display drivers are up to date.

E6600 3.3 ghz, 2 gigs of corsair dominator ram, gforce 8800gtx grpahics card.

So, I'm the only one having this problem?

Restored Vista from a backed up image (Pre Bioshock install), browsed to where I copied Bioshock folder earlier and all I had to do was merge the .reg file, BioShock worked first time. Didn't need to do anything else.

It's certainly pleasing on the eye. Great game so far Smile

Edit: This using OneHitWonder ISO and Darkcoder's crack only.

You don't have Securom installed. Try installing the demo just for that. Worked for me. It is weird because this crack uses Securom and not bypassing it.

Thanks.. removed steam now. No sense other crap on my system eating resources!

BTW, paused the game, left for an hour, came back, and the system was completely hung up. Might be a crack issue, or also might just be a game issue.

Hmmm I updated my ati drivers the same time in installed bioshock, and guess what? Steam installs with the august ati drivers!

What crap!

I did just get a lockup as well with bioshock.. the first level, after you inject yourself. I went back upstairs and there was atv monitor on the right, and when I approached it, my ati drivers hit an infinite loop, and blue screened.

ati 1950 256 meg pro here, btw

bumping this question since my subtitles also run too fast and wondering if anybody know how to fix it.

also.. i've posted this problem before but lost the post in the abundance of bioshock posts so i'll ask again.

my mouse sensitivity is too high even when sliding it all the way down... there was a way to force a lower sensitivy by fiddling with the ini file methinks.. can anyone tell me what to do?

thx.

I'm rolling back my drivers to july now, to see if it's a ati driver issue. Also, has anyone seen key binds not saving? I usually use the u/d/l/r arrow controls, and it didn;t look lik ebioshock was saving that preference.
