Dude, play it with the AI mod to see what the AI is capable of. And this is the best WW2. You have no other game that is made in such non-linear way. About the controls, I like them, idk why. Hold right click, pop some shots, release right click, run to the next cover. Just fun to play.
EA did good with this one, and you know how hard it is for me to say that.

Are you sure it's AIRBORNE and not Pacific Assault?
Seems a bit early. And we should have a release already by now if it is the real game.

It's probably the pre-sale, I swear this happens at least once with every game.....

Oh I'm not doubting the game at all. I enjoyed it quite a bit for it being 1) an EA game and 2) a WWII game.
When it comes to games anymore, especially after FEAR. I'm really picky on AI. There's really no excuse anymore for this kind of stupid AI. The only legit excuse is laziness. Shouldn't need a mod just to get an AI that you won't find looking like a retard trying to open a Twinkie wrapper

AI that kicks and throws grenades, jumps through windows, takes cover and works as a team is fine by me. Not every game can have the AI of FEAR, nor does that AI fit for every game.

The team AI was horrible. Couldn't count the times they would run in front of me and get shot. Instead of stopping and shooting when an enemy is in plain site instead of firing, they'd run right up to them and get close lined.

Indeed, I don't remember FEAR's AI being groundbreaking at all. A few instances of scripted events where AI pushed over items for cover and some kind of flank happened rarely anyway.

Take a look at how the combat AI behaves and you might change your mind. That being said, I believe STALKER was way more ground breaking in the AI department than FEAR.

Use the AI mod. You'll feel the difference. The Italianos can't fight for shit... They always miss and get in the middle of fire.
[EDIT]Parallax, haven't seen you here lately... What happened?

Yup, only ~7 hrs of gameplay. At least there is alot of replay value and going for different paths.
