  • Official web page: LINK
  • Publisher: South Peak Interactive
  • Developer: Reality Pump
  • Genre: Role Playing Game
  • Release date: US RELEASE: 23-Aug-2007 - UK RELEASE: 31-Aug-2007

  • Story:
    Quote:
The world changed when Aziraal, the god of war, was slain in the huge battle long ago. The hordes of Orcs lost their divine leader and were forced to withdraw to the southern wastelands. Now, thousands of years later, the location of Aziraals tomb is still unknown, well hidden by other gods who did not dare to entrust the secret to mere mortals. But a fragile peace between the civilized races and the hordes is now at stake. When the dwarven mining expedition discovered an ancient temple dedicated to an unnamed deity - all of the world’s most powerful factions saw it as a possible clue to the place of Azriaal’s burial ground. A silent war has now begun and it will soon ignite the fires that will lead to the holy crusade of the Orcs. However, the real danger lies somewhere else. A powerful force churns silently – weaving a secret plot of fear and destruction. In the end, it is their goal that only one of the Two Worlds remains.

  • Gameplay:
    Quote:
"Two Worlds” combines the extremely dynamic and sophisticated combat system with the meaning and freedom of exploration exceeding the accomplishments of other games of the genre. To attract the mass audience, the complexity of the game will be achieved mainly through a variety of meaningful choices while the User Interface will be simplified. The combat system is easy to handle and the number of possible choices encourage experimenting with different styles and skills. Great visuals and dynamic choreography ensures the most exciting experience. The game promotes the ability to freely roam and explore the game world. Players will find their own way to beat challenges, solve problems and complete quests and will also be rewarded by different factions accordingly for the results of their actions. Before you solve the main quest, you will certainly experience the most memorable journey of your life. It is very important that players are not limited to working for only one faction at on time. They are free to experiment with different organizations and benefit from all of them. All characters can learn any skill. There is also a challenge for many guilds to keep their knowledge a secret. Players will have to earn their respect and trust to lay hands on the most powerful of skills.

Well the PC version is alright if you patch it to the latest version. The 360 version will have the all the current PC patches and the latest patch, which has yet to come out for download.

It should be quite a fun game, nothing spectacular but far more stable then Gothic 3.

The patch will not transform it into a new game, so if thats what you expected then you're bound to be disappointed. Rolling Eyes

There were definitely worse games out this year than two worlds.
I played it for several hours but then quit because I had other games to play.
It may not be Oblivion but it was some fun at least.

I'm just wondering how well the console version will work... considering they can't justpatch it like the PC version

Thats what the European PC version was for, a giant bug test. The latest patch makes it about as stable and balanced as the game can be, the console version will come already with those patches.

Anyway, they can patch 360 games at least, not sure if you need a HD for that though.

Damnit, I really want some reviews out.. I just want to read how well the 360 version holds up.

This is one of those games that is going to be really good, or really good idea with really bad implementation.

Isn't there any NTSC users left on this site? Razz Fire this shit up and lemme know how it is! Rawr!

"So far, Two Worlds boasts a story worthy of the term "epic," and is my personal favorite aspect of the game. Your ultimate goal is to find and save your sister. And to do that, you need to hunt down an ancient artifact said to have the power to resurrect an Orc God. Rest assured that the game makes prolific use of its installed Reputation system. Different factions will require the player's help at several junctions throughout the game by way of different quests, some furthering the main story, others acting as side quests. There's a wide selection of quests to keep players busy for dozens of hours."

In my opinion while the game is rough around the edges, in a similar way to the first two Gothic games it makes up for it in alot of ways. The freedom to explore a massive world doing effectively what you want holds alot of merit with me.

yea forget this one people - i thought it looked good at one point, but its a pile of crap.

much better games out and coming out than bothering about this - not even worth the price of a blank media for a backup.
