Yep maybe cause there is no other golf simulation on PC. But wait, Tiger has new trousers in 2008 version. Nice job.
Maybe someday EA will made synchro-swimming game. Can`t wait.

Can't seem to install this. Everytime I launch the installer it comes up saying "you need Directx 9c to continue installation or something" and then exit the installation.
But I altready have the latest Directx 9c installed so can't be that.

come on, gtfo you and your bioshock (go fucking buy it if you need it so much btw), this game is great, even though xbox360 version is better and a controler for pc recommended.

I LOVE THIS GAME , its nothing more relaxing that playing Golf , thy only added 3 things this year to this version GameFace *computer generated face from your photograph* , GameMovies *that you can post on the net with a challenge to be beat by the other players* and BelivingInYou system *that for each risky shot gives you exp to boost your status of your virtual golfer*

Does it have gamepad support?
Seems perfect to just sit back and get the gamepad and relax in front of the TV.
Need to get some good tennis game too... or a Xbox 360.

Have you XP or Vista.
I have Vista and had the same problem. I fixed it with compatible mode from XP SP2

Open with notepad
DVD:\AutoRun\autorun.cfg
and change: DirectXVersion=9.0c
TO: DirectXVersion=0
Make a new image with the edited autorun.cfg. You don't have to put the big data folders, use it just to skip this error and then mount the original image.
If the error appears again then delete the directx folder from the new image.

try setting the autorun.exe to compatibility of windows 2000 that should fix the dx9 problem that always fixed it for me

Thx m8te. Strangely enough that actually worked. I put it to windows 2000 compatebility and now the install worked. Strange!!

Well,the game's a bit better..they show off how many meters the ball flies away at each shot and other stuff...
The BAD THING is that there's NO METER "Everybody's golf 5" style..ya kno',a bar that shows the half and max yards/meters you can do...only a lazy ass half circled bar (2 or 3 Click mode)..
C'mon EA,gives us something much better than this!...i'm a golf fan,but atleast u could make some things easily to understand and stuff,k?..just do this Meter stuff with Yards and become a king,dammit!
Anyways,great game,but i dun think it's gonna last much in my PC ....

If there was a golf game with the same style and gameplay like Everybody's golf 5 of PS3,it would b a damn awesome game indeed.....

Too bad they still havent fixed multiplayer bugs where client gets desynched and lost even on LAN after few holes of golf. This bug is present since 06....

It's not. I have it set to 1680x1050.
Pity this doesn't supprt gamepads though. I'll wait for the 360 version.

Decent enough golf game, but like an above poster, i can't select higher than 1024x768 either in xp.
In vista(dual boot), i can select 1280x1024, but it's still not the native res(so looks a bit crap).
Like with tiger woods 07, the pc and 360 ones are as different to each other as golf games can be.
Obviously programmed by 2 different teams with the console one winning out bigtime.
Looking forward to the 360 version.
Edit: Found a workaround for anyone else strugglling to get the native res working.

Have anyone tried "Game Face"? You can upload a picture of yourself and the game will simulate the picture and make a player that looks like you:D?!
EDIT: I hope that they accept nude pictures.
