Its linear but I find everytime I play no situation plays out the same which is great so it makes it feel different a bit everytime even if it is the same environment. & you can see my specs in my sig & I have absolutly no problem running this demo. I can only assume some of you are having driver issues or there is a bug with 8800 gtx that isn't allowing you to play since I got a gts & have no problemo. The one thing I want to say is alot of peepz are dissapointed with the direction MOH series had gone & I think its good that they went back to there roots with intense firefights & excellent musical score to go with it. Graphics are sexy too.

How is it linear ffs? You have 4 targets in the demo and you can approach it however you want, ergo not linear. If it was linear, there would have been 4 guns on a street, and you'd have to destroy them one by one.

nice game , finally a 360 port that works great *well the demo runs great* , and finally they made this game non-linear *parachute jump right on the first two AA guns on the roof top - fantastic feeling*, and this is the first FPS game that added fantastic hand fights and showed the action of it *speaking about WW2 theme game here, yes i know that Riddic,Fear,Condemned had hand to hand combat but those games are a different theme*
this game is really GOTY for me , but still its too arcade *jumping from a roof top gives you no damage, you have allways godmode-on just wait 3-6 sec and the health bar will refill ,German troops spawn like rabbits from buildings that where a second ago empty etc...*

Yes the paratrooping down & all makes the game feel more open ended but its an illusion to give it a more open feel which I think is still very excellent. What im saying is after that is done yours till guided on a linear path with a few selects paths to choose from. Remove the paratrooping & it's 100% linear with a few optional paths.

dude that's retarded use a little common sense. You have building you can cut through, maybe a passage or two but your still forced in a linear direction. Think about it after you tackled those AA's were you able to choose any direction you wanted to tackle the next objective ? NO. The only none linear part of it is when you jump out of the plane & you choose were to land. like I said I didn't say it wasn't open ended either I just said there cheap tricks to make it feel more open.

I played half the level on a rooftop, try it sometime.
If you're complaining that the map is linear you really need to look at the definition of linear. It's not like your objectives are going to change, you have to take out the AA. Regardless, it's how you approach it that makes it non-linear.
Do you scream "OMG LINEAR" when you drive to the local grocery store? There are only so many ways to get there anyway, it's not like there are ever infinite possibilities. Seriously though, consider playing like spiderman or neo, and hang out on rooftops. You get the cool walking-on-shingles sound, as well as the advantage of being above ground.

developers probably just think theres no point making a game where you play the losing side... plus americans are so psycho hyper patriotic, most yanks wont want to play as ze germans...

next time germany, make sure you pick a leader who isnt nuts so that you can win. thanks.

Compared to any FPS besides BF2, this is anything but linear,
if you didnt realize, You can get back onto any roof if you search.
so quit whinning or go play another linear fps, because thats all we have.

anyway i love the ignorance - games with a open map are not allways a non-linear game
its like saying that Farcry was non-linear because of the open map its just..... well stupid ,
the same with Spiderman3 , GTA series etc.
a non-linear game is a game when each action gives you a consequence , Example : Baldurs Gate , Fallout 1 and 2 , Splinter Cell Double Agent *the first splinter game that had 3 endings* , BioShock, Thief 3 , System Shock 1 and 2 and so on.....

Truly fantastic game this one. Ilove the cinematic feel the bluriness when you do a sharp turn. The Italian enemies kinda remind me of captain bertorelli from Alo Alo puts a smile on my face everytime I hear them speaking Italian.
Cant wait for the retail game!
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

Even if I mark anisotropic or AA in CCC, it's like the game overrides it and not in action during the game. Anyone with ati?
