Are you guys harvesting or saving the lil' sisters? Right now I'm saving them all just to see what I get in return, plus they look better after you cure them Very Happy Any tactics to take down the big daddies? I mean, I can take 'em down but I do end up using about four EVE injections and five health packs.

Honestly the game looks much better on PC. I know cause I have seen both versions.

Then you need glasses, or a better display. The difference is minimal, although the increased resolution of the PC version is nice.

It's funny how you think your pissant boycott of the game is going to make any difference when they see the massively increased sales their protection has provided.

In my case that is simply not true and if you remember, SF was destroyed by active boycott's. If you are so "pro buy", why do you hang out in a forum dedicated to piracy? Protection is fine by me but not when it starts to limit the use of something that I have PAID money for.

You need to look for a good location to maneuver around so they can't get near you, of course this doesn't work so well against the rosie though. Also if you have any traps it's good to set up an ambush too. But you have to expect to lose life, they're the toughest enemy in the game!

I don't really pirate games so much, more about movies for me. Anyway, I joined this forum when I was poor, so of course I was pro-piracy, now I have money it's not an issue any more.

Well from what I read, in order to keep all your activations(which still go through securom's servers), you must uninstall the game each time. IE, completely remove from your harddrive. Then you gotta download the whole f'in thing over again. Which, to me anyways, is an even bigger pain in the arse. Plus all that securom trojan type shit still gets installed each time.

Valve fixed that the day after the release.

yeah you can now install the game 5 Times Rolling Eyes

and after that 5 times your dvd dics = garbage?

That's right, 'cos Race Driver 2 caned The Sims in terms of sales didn't it.

Er, except it didn't. It made f*** all difference. Bioshock will sell because people want it, not because of converted pirates.

Agreed, this game will unfortunately still sell, the only hope we have is standing out as a crowd and draw media attention and potential lawsuits to 2K

Some guy of the cs.rin forum made a crack which bypasses the activation of the game. Unfortunately it still doesn't start, as the process is killed right after you click on the start button. But, hey, it's already something...

Yeah I play it on my 42" LCD tv but its the pc version I got off steam playing it at 1920x1080 with everything maxed out & man is it ever sexy & little to no slowdowns what so ever. On another note the big daddy's are the shit sauce lol I have never run & cowered in fear as much as when those mofo's come rushing at me. Tendancy of looking over my own shoulder to make sure none are behind me hahahah. 4th quarter is gonna rock for games one way or another. Bioshock is the first of many to come Smile woot.

Ok, it's official. They cracked the activation.

You just replace the SteamUI and you can actually launch Bioshock executable via Pacsteam. Now they only need to remove SecuROM protection from the exe.

I don't think there have ever been so much fake releases for a game as of yet. All releases are just the uncracked retail version.

How long does it take to crack a securom .exe? The activation has already been cracked, so... the scene groups should know by now how to crack a Securom .exe, right?

Activation just got cracked. You act as if it has been cracked for days. And shut your trap. You arn't doing squat to help, so bugger off. Don't like it? Go buy the game.

He's not completely wrong. If someone who was able to crack SecuROM in the past could try to cooperate with that guy in cs.rin (who is also trying to crack paul.dll, meaning he could be able to make the retail work) we could have a working release for tomorrow.

Oh man. All that waiting just got too much for me and I decided to buy Bioshock over Steam. Just as I wanted to put in my creditcard information I noticed a small (DE) in the window title after the name Bioshock. Alas, us Germans are getting a special cut version once again. Now I fiddled around with US proxies to get an international uncut version, but no results, except that the game cannot be bought from my geographical location Sad

Now back to the waiting game for a cracked US version...
